yeah - Hoping1 - if you go to pregnancy-info.net/QA/answers, you will be able to choose which topic you want to look at. This is under "twins and multiple birth" while the new thread I created is under "problems getting pregnant." I want to keep talking to everyone. So, I'll go back and forth. The main thing with this forum is that this thread is so long it takes a while to open in my browser. So, it might be a good idea to start a new thread anyway. See ya on both/one forum!

hi guys I went my doc today. She said that the pains I am experienceing is side effects from the clomid. And she is sending me to and RE specialist. I am hoping I won't have to go because I will be prego this month.

Rowan - October 29

Hey geewife - I thought your symptoms were from clomid ...I got the worst cramping ALL mth from clomid! Bul how r u girl? What day r u on now? I am on cycle day 4 & day 3 of clomid I went for days 2-6 this mth.

Hoping1 - October 29

What's an RE? This is all kind of new to me. It seems like everyone I know just like falls preg or something, so that's great for them and all, but I don't really know a lot of terminology b/c it just happens for them. Also, how long have you all been trying? I went off bc only in March, and just finally O'd last month. This month I'm off clomid, though, so that's not looking so good. Tell us how you're doing Sam and Meg so we can feel encouragement! :-).

Sorry to double post. I need some help ladies. My DH, who is a sweetheart, does not think I should contact Cheri. He says we haven't been trying that long and he thinks the whole idea is "ridiculous". I know we really haven't been trying too long. My doc says even though we've been "trying" since March, we really just started "trying" last month since I finally ov. I feel like Cheri would really just give me encouragement, but I don't know how to convince my husband. I think he just doesn't want me to get my hopes up for some certain month, but I am trying to tell him that, for me, it would just be a feeling of calm when it doesn't happen over and over again... I don' tknow...

Hi Hoping I've been trying for 4 mths / the 1st was w/o clomid. I also live in canada & have 3 children already.

Teddyfinch - October 29

Hoping1: I think your hubby just doesn't want you to get your hopes up. I think you may have said that already. A lot of ladies have had luck with Cheri and that would give you a lot of hope, but just like Cheri says on her site she won't be right 100% of the time and he won't want you to be crushed if after months of disappointment you get a burst of hope from her and god forbid it doesn't happen. I've got 7 yrs total under my belt of TTC. I probably won't email Cheri because it's just against what I believe. It's just how I am. Nothing against her or anyone that talks to her. I won't say it's not super tempting though to read about other ladies that have gotten readings from her they were right. I think it's along the lines of after all the negatives, I really don't want to get my hopes up just in case. I'd rather expect a negative and be over the moon when it's positive. But if you want to email her, then by all means go for it! And I hope, if you do, that she's right with any good news she gives.

Hi Hoping ~ I'm still following all of you ladies. I feel like you are my good friends, and I want to follow your progress :) I hope that's o.k.. The pregnancy is going well. We have an ultrasound next Monday, it will be week 12. Hoping, on day 12 for me I had 2 follicles measuring 16.3 and 16.5 mm. When the follicles reach 20 mm they are considered mature and can release. They generally grow 2 mm a day. So, if I were you, I would find hubby and get going ASAP :) As for when to start the clomid, my doc told me to start counting as soon as any spotting occured. Seemed weird to me, but I started Clomid on the 3rd day of spotting, the first day of real bleeding. Hopes this helps!! You are all in my thoughts and prayers everyday!!!

Thanks sammommy - you are a great support. I wish everyone was like that (see my latest post on "leaving this forum") GRRR... But, I love this forum and the others I post on. Everyone is amazing!

Sorry to double post, but I fell behind on reading. Hoping1 - I've been actively TTC for about 5 mos. (off bc for about 10), although I'm like you are - I haven't ovulated that I know of - so, maybe I'm not TTC yet according to your doc. But, I don't think there is anything wrong with contacting cheri. I'm not going to for the same reason that Teddyfinch said - I don't want to get my hopes up for a particular month and then have them crushed if cheri was wrong. That said, I don't see anything wrong with contacting her if you want to. She has been right and could be right again. :) Oh, and an RE is a reproductive endrocrinologist (SP??). But, they specialize in infertility. I'm going to see one if the clomid does not make me ovulate (or if the s/e get too bad and I can't take it anymore). And, TEddyfinch - I didn't mean to scare anyone off of this board. I just wanted to try to start a new thread too. Thanks for commenting on both! Baby dust to everyone!!

Bul - October 30

way to go geewife need to remain positive and you will attract positive things in your life. Rowan my darling i'm doing ok, just took my 4th clomid pill and i'm on CD6 took clomid 3-7. you know what i'm worried though because i came across and article about CM and ovulation, there they say CM is very important as it protects the sperm from the acids in my v____a, these pills dry me up, i didn't have any real CM last month, i think i'll take a break on clomid next month. haven't been TCC for long, this is the third month, but i stopped taking b/c pills january 2006, fell pregnant on my own oct 2006 and had ectopic. march 2007 something happened that made me so depressed for 4 months, so i couldn't have fallen pregnant in that state. Hoping1 i never told my man about cheri as i knew he was going to say no, just forwarded him the e-mail from cheri and his response was, "very interesting" after getting my AF he was the first one to say, don't worry my baby january is around the corner :-). Kimmer i'll try your post as well, but i like it here, i understand people here, and i want to see how its going to end, who is next, until we all pregnant.

Rowan - October 30

london - what a bummer. Sorry to hear she came. Bul I'm trying evening primrose oil 1500 - 3000 is allowed. Some women state it helps improve cm. Sammommy - Thank you for caring about us & checking in. I am in the same situation as you were. I spotted a bit on Thurs & Friday & Saturday full AF so am I to count spotting or not. I called my RE and they said count spotting but on here says not too. I need to figure out my days...did I take clomid 3-7 or 1-5 - as I started clomid on Sat. night. HELP?? Sammommy woudl you say you got pg wih twins b/c of met? or do you have twins in your family? Whatzup - I'm praying for your +++++++ Bul glad to hear you are on your last pill & hopefully your last. I find its not when I take them I get the s/e its later in the mth.

Kimmer23 - October 30

Rowan - I think docs are torn as to when to start counting cds. My doc says to count spotting (but I don't usually have very heavy periods, so maybe that is just for me). And, I know others have been told to not count it. But, either 3-7 or 1-5 has worked for people (so, maybe average it - 2-6??? :)). And, either way, keep the hope up!!! London - sorry to hear that af came. I have heard that clomid can make af heavier (but I have no presonal experience quite yet - my af should come after I'm done with the prometrium (only 6 more days...). And as for CM - I've had the same fears as you, Bul. But, I heard flaxseed oil, robitussin, and primrose oil can all help (at least that's what I've gathered from various posts). And, the robitussin is just the regular robitussin, not DM (or any other letters follwoing the name). Apparently those other ones are bad to take... I personnally have been taking flaxseed oil. I just found out another one of my friends is pregnant, so I'm stealing some baby dust for you all --- Baby dust to everyone!! :)

meg - October 30

Hi ladies! I'm also doing my best to keep up w/ you all! I know how hard it is sometimes to stay positive, but it really is for the best. As for me, things seem to be going just fine. I just had another beta count yesterday, & am about to call to get the results from that. I have an u/s on Thursday and am really hoping that I'll be able to see the heartbeat! I'm 6 weeks today. Remember...Clomid definitely works! :-)
