Hi ladies! I'm also doing my best to keep up w/ you all! I know how hard it is sometimes to stay positive, but it really is for the best. As for me, things seem to be going just fine. I just had another beta count yesterday, & am about to call to get the results from that. I have an u/s on Thursday and am really hoping that I'll be able to see the heartbeat! I'm 6 weeks today. Remember...Clomid definitely works! :-)

Hi Ladies, sorry haven't been on for a while. Well i've finished month 3 of clomid and am now on CD15. Been awake since 4am the pains i'm having are horrendous - but i worked it out from the previous 2 months that it must be when i'm ovulating. Geewife it sounds like ur having the same as me!! I never experienced anything like this before Clomid though. I wanna get pregnant - can't stand this pain and AF pain and all for nothing!!

Hi everyone. Stay positive CJ. I know it is hard, especially with all the pain, but it won't be all for nothing when it eventually works. I guess I'm not going to contact Cheri. According to my doc, I've only been "trying" one month since I have only o'd once, so I will wait and see. Maybe if I get up to 6 months then I will contact her. My DH and I have officially started the BD cycle. That is the positive side, in a way. As my hubby says, this is one of the best things to fail at, because then you get to keep trying. ;-). I'm not sure if I agree with the "best thing to fail at", but things could be worse. Chin up ladies- we will all be in line with sam and meg soon and discussing bottle temps and cribs... Baby dust!

Hoping1 - I like you dh's thinking...the best thing to fail at...as much as I want to be pg, don't like the s/e of clomid, etc., I have to admit that TTC (at least bding) is fun! So, here's to BDing! :) And congrats again meg! We will all be with you soon...

Bul~for good EWCM, starting 1-2 days after your last Clomid pill, take Mucinex(better than robitussin) in the morning and 500-1000mg of primrose oil 3 times per day for a total of 1500-3000mg, along with 1300mg of flaxseed oil 2 times perday for a total of 2600mg per day. Also, this is VERY important. CM is made up of water, so drink at least 2 liters of water a day, I drink around 70-105 floz day, it really helps! I did all of that this cycle, and I had EWCM for around 5 days, and there was TONS of it. I mean it was coming out all over my panties, and when I wiped, there was so much I'd get it all on my hands! I know, TMI....but what I did REALLY works! My last cycle I was on 50mg Clomid with nothing else and I only had EWCM for 2 or 3 days, and there wasn't tons of it, but I did have some. This cycle, I did 100mg Clomid and all of the "pill popping", and I had TONS of it, so good luck and I hope that helps!

Neptune - October 30

Hi, I am new here and I've been recently put on Clomid 50 mg days 3-7 and am so scared of twins! What are the chances because it seems as if everyone I talk to is having twins?? Also what side effects have people been getting from taking the clomid? I've been becoming extremely tired.. Is that normal? I dont feel like myself. Please respond! hoping to concieve this month, this is my first month on the clomid.

anonlady - October 30

Welcome Neptune! I wish you all the luck and baby dust to you that you get pregnant your first month! As far as side effects go, I had hot flashes and headaches with Clomid(wasn't bad!), but then like a week after ovulation, I had HORRIBLE cramping....I couldn't stand up straight, gosh it was awful! I was tired all the time, more hungry than usual, had a lot of yellow CM in my panties everyday, my nipples felt like someone had bitten them off....I had every pregnancy symptom possible! I wasn't pregnant though, and when AF showed up, it was with a big bang! It was heavy instantly, and just got heavier. I have never in my life had a period that heavy. It lasted for about 6 or 7 days. Oh...and the cramping didn't stop until I stopped bleeding. I had to sleep with a heating pad on my belly every night...I was in the worst pain ever. But I think it's so worth it in the end to get our bundles of joy!

What a lovely list of side effects lol. i wouldn't be scared, though, Neptune. Not everyone experiences those side effects on Clomid. Some ladies don't have s/e at all, so it really varies. Your chances of twins are only increased from around 7-10% so it's more than before you take it, but if you look at it, it really isn't that much either. I would just try to relax and enjoy the task of tryin for that baby when your fertile days come up. ANONLADY: for the mucinex you took, is it safe to take if you don't need it? And can you just take one once a day? I found some at walmart ($9 a box!) and it has the ingredient guaifenesin which i know is needed to help with the cm. I just want to make sure it's not unsafe really.

PL - October 30

Hi everyone, Sammommy & Meg, so happy hear that you both are doing really well with your pregnancy & thank you for being so supportive to all of us :) I finally caught up with my doc yesterdaym she confirmed that my eggs are no good this month. I just don understand why clomid work for me sometimes and sometimes not. Last month I have all the preggo symptoms, this month nothing. I am on my 6th day of progesterone. My doc said she will up my clomid to 100mg and add on a third medication next cycle. Next month I will be pregnant with my first boy :) I am also taking 3000mg primrose oil, 1000mg vitamin c (they said it can help but no more than 2000mg cause it will cause opposite effects), I think i drink 2 lit water per day, I am also taking some chinese herbs pills (Ba Zhen). I am not too sure about the herbs, so please don try yet. I will check with my doc if it is ok.

Good luck for those who are ovulating!!!

geewife1 - October 30

Hi everyone. I decided to take an ov' test. I haven't tooken one in a couple of days. I was like " what the heck I might as well see what it is going to say" Low and behold it was postive! I am finally getting ready to ov in the next 24-36 hours. Yesterday and today I have been having these pains in my right side where my ovaries are. So I decided to take the test. I fiured it was going to be "no surge" but I was wrong. The test line was a lot darker than the reference line which indicated ov' There was no staring at the lines this time because it was obvious the test line was darker. My hubby and I will bd tonight and tomorrow and hope for a mircle. I am on cd 19 as of today. So that means that I will have ov on cd 20 or 21. WoW that is a kind of late ovulating. But you can ov anywhere between 5-12 after your last clomid pill so today makes 11 days after my last pill. I am just happy I finally got a postive anwer on something.

Teddyfinch - October 30

I'm not quite that far yet, but I'm still thrilled because af is finally making her entrance. Today is cd1 for me. I feel like it's been forever! I'm thinking of keeping a 'baby diary' of sorts. just to know what i've been through so if I go through it again I'll remember

sammommy - October 30

Hi Rowan ~ It sounds to me like you took Clomid starting on day 3. That's what both of our Docs would say :) I have heard that taking Metformin can increase your twin odds, but I'm not positive. It's so hard to get any concrete info on any of the topics we talk about here :) I'm not sure if I have twins in tha family becasue I was adopted........so many things I wonder about my family health history :) Oh well!!!! Off to say my prayers for all of you and climb into bed!!!

anonlady - October 31

TeddyFinch~Yes, taking mucinex is safe even if you don't need it, so I read and my doctor said. Only take one tablet though, I think they are 600mg?? I got the extended release one so it is releasing medication for a full 12 hours. Make sure it's not the one with decongestant though! Also, mucinex/robitussin does not increase your CM, it only thins it out if it is too thick. Usually it's just to get it more clear, and stretchy...it works though!

Bul - October 31

thanks ladies for the advice, i'll ask my gyna which one to take and get back to you, today i took my last clomid pill, and i'm cramping. what i also don't understand is that i had AF for 2 days only and it was heavy. is this normal??

Teddyfinch - October 31

anonlady: yeah the mucinex i was looking at only had guaifenesin as its active ingredient. i'm not sure it's the extended release though. i'm just hoping it doesn't make me drowsy because i drive my hubby every morning to work on a freeway and i don't need to be any sleepier than i am in the mornings lol.
