Hi everyone, I am very new to this whole process and would really like some advice. I am about to be starting this process hopefully soon. I have a doct appt on monday and I will find out what I need to do next. I actually had to go a step further because I didn't recieve a period for months at a time. They needed up putting me on a medicine called provera which brings it on. At first I thought that it wasn't going to work. Well IT DID!!! Which is a good thing. I keep doing research on Clomid and it is bugging me out a little. My husband keeps telling me that I need to stop reading into everything but when your 24 and can't get pregnant it is a little hard not to do as much research as possible. I was wondering if anyone can give me a little advice on what to expect and how to go about doing things. I have a mother but she isn't that capable of giving me advice. Should I start my body temperture now before I go to the doctors again or just wait and see what she has to say. Please help I am really scared and just need a few words of encouragement.
Thanks

Kelly, I know exactly how you feel I am around the same age and have been trying natrual to get pregnant for almost a year. My doctor has done all the work up and is now giving me clomid to start as soon as my next cycle begins. I so frustrated like you but I am really excited to start the clomid. I have such high hopes for this medication. I have a normal cycle monthly so I don't know what you are going through there, but as far as temperature goes we tried that and what I have found is to use the ovulation predictors you can get at the store. They are a little costly, but it really helps I usually start testing right after my menses and go till I get a positive reading. I hope this helps...

Hello Girls,
I am new here - just found out about this site and have been reading through it!!! I have to say it is the best website I have found! Very helpful and imformative and the ladies are lovely on here!!! I am 21 ttc for the past 2 yrs, I have PCOS and was diagnosed at 11 with this condition, I have all the usual symptoms, absent periods, high testosterone, Insulin Resistance, excess weight, ex hair growth etc.... I have been on and off Met since 11 which has only ever induced about 1 period every year and a half. My fiance and I are seeing a RE (Reproductive Endo) on October 10th 2008. In hopes to start Clomid. Some may consider it a litlle anxious of me, but I was wondering if any of you had some info as to the requirements of Clomid e:g - Do I have to physically have a natural period in order for me to commence treatment with clomid? - This is a concern for me as I never have periods!!! Also - What do you all mean when you say, "I took clomid on cd 3-7?" Thanks so much ladies, all you sucess stories have given me so much faith... I hope I conceive on my first round? Love and Baby Dust to you all!

Hi samantha08, I also have irregular period since 12. I only ovulate on my own once or twice a year on my own and my dr gave me clomid. First she gave me provera for 10 days to start my period and then the clomid 50mg days 3-7. This was my first cycle but I didn't ovulate. Hopefully next month will work. Blowing baby dust your way...

Welcome to all the new ladies and good luck to you. Jump right in and we will help all we can.
KAZ - How are you doing and what cd are you on?
I am on cd 14 and I did get a bfp on the opk on cd 12 & 13 I will be testing again when I get home to see what the results are I will update in the morning. I can tell you that I am relaxing more and not stressing like I had been. I didn't even tell dh that I got a bfp just in case neither one of us was in the mood to bd which was just the opposite. I have given myself a little pep talk if it happens then great and if it don't then that is okay as well or that is what I am telling myself now. (smile). Give me some update girl. Krissy68

Hi Krissy, I'm not really expecting AF. Most likely I would need to take the provera again and then start cycle 2. Do you think I should test anyways?

wendytd - Well did you test? I just want to know. How are you doing?
samantha08 - Welcome to the group. When we say we took clomid on cd 3-7 (which I do) it is talking about your cycle days that you took the clomid on. Does this make sense? Good Luck to you at the RE and let us know. Krissy68

Hiya Krissy68 - thanks for your help? Was just wondering if you had a normal period before commencing treatment with Clomid? Or was your period induced with Povera??? I think wendytd and I are in the same boat - seeing as we don't have natural periods and no ovulating.... wendytd - I am sorry that your result was negative, but keep strong, I have faith that it will happen for us. Can I ask how long it took for your period to start with povera and how long after the pvera did you have to wait b4 starting Clomid!!! Sorry 4 all the questions girls!!! Baby dust to you both!!!

Hi Samantha, my period came down after 5 days taking the provera and I took the clomid on cd 3. I only took 50 mg and I think that was enough for me. These girls are great, it is really nice to talk with people on the same situation, none of my friend have kids yet and the girls here have been really helpful to me.
