Hi Samantha, my period came down after 5 days taking the provera and I took the clomid on cd 3. I only took 50 mg and I think that was enough for me. These girls are great, it is really nice to talk with people on the same situation, none of my friend have kids yet and the girls here have been really helpful to me.

Hiya Wendytd - thanks for your reply. Did you ovulate at all with your first round of clomid??? So you took clomid CD 3 which means you took it 3 days into having your period is that right? Ahhh I am so lost with this? Do you have PCOS aswell??? If so were you taking Metformin with the Clomid?

hi all. i am cd 16. i did 100mg clomid cd2-6. very first round. had to use provera to get things going. i had tubal reversal 10 months ago. i'm 35, i have 3 boys, 18,15 & 11.. am hoping for a little girl, i had no side effects at all. and today i got my first + opk in 10 months.. i am due to have blood test cd21 to determine ovulation or not.. fingers crossed... its nice to meet you all.

Hiya Jodie, nice to meet you too!!! Good luck!!! I am very new to this as well, and unlike you guys - I haven't even started Clomid.... but the girls on this forum as so nice... and very informative. Good luck with your blood test... May I ask - were your three boys clomid babies? Do you have PCOS or any other form of infertility?

Hi Samantha, yeah I took the clomid 3-7 and no O. I don't have pcos but thyroid problems. I ovulate on my own only like once or twice a year. I really hope I better luck next cycle. When are you starting?

Hiya Wendy - I am seeing an RE specialist on the 10th of October - I hope they put me on clomid then. I actually never knew you had to have a period b4 starting it. Now I know thanks to you! I hope I can get started with povera then clomid. I actually havent had a period for about 1 1/2 yrs then bammmm - outta nowhere I get a period last month for 7 days... didn't ovulate though - which was dissipointing. Also - did you think you were ovulating at any point??? I am having strange feelings - very tired, twinges in my lower half, slight headaches... etc but I don't know if I am ovualting as I never do if that makes sense... I have been on alot of sites that give u tips on how to know if you are ovulating... they match my symptoms but the Ovulation Tests said im not.... errrr the diffuculties of being a female!!!

hi again.. no my other kids are not clomid babies.. i just say baby and be pg back then. had tubes tied after last one 11 yrs ago. had them reversed 10 months ago.... so i will be in the 2ww in a couple of days, i hope.

after tubal reversal. i also had dye test to see if tubes are open. and they are great.. then had blood test for all hormones. and a v____al ultrasound, up close and personal.. that one.. to check for ovary sizes. and was informed i do have pcos slightly.. i have high testosterone levels, due to overweight that explains my hairy upperlip i guess....

AHHHHH - well I wish you the best of luck Jodie.... Im sure things will work out for all of us! I hope and pray. I was just wondering if any of you have experienced quite servere indergestion/heartburn? Was wondering if this would be a symptom of ovulation? ha ha probably not but worth questioning for faith lol! I have been experiencing it very badly for the past couple of days, continuosly - its very uncomfortable!

Jodie - I have the same problem - ex weight, ex hair, insulin resistance - high testosterone, It is very disheartining for women to go through this I understand your pain... I really do. Mwahzzzz

Ok, I have a question. I am 20 years old soon to be 21, my partner is a twin and there is a history of twins in my family also. I am hoping to take 50mg of Clomid on CD 3-7 however I am wondering how many cycles I should take it for? I am hoping for twins though triplets wouldn't be a burden. Will one month achieve twins?

wendytd - I'm sorry that you got the bfn when should you have started? How are you doing? Don't the provera make you start AF like after second or third pill? Thank you for the prayers. I really need it. I am cd 18/5dpo and I am feeling really moody, crampy and tired. I wish I was close to testing but I am nowhere near that I can't test until Sep 29. I am just going to ignore how I am feeling. This is going to be the longest 2ww. samantha08 - Yes I had normal periods before the clomid my doctor put me on clomid because I am 40 and we have been trying for over a year. How are you doing? jodi-ttc-08 - Welcome to the group. Good Luck to you this cycle. I also had a tubal reversal i5 years ago and my 4th daughter will be turning 4 next month. I see you have older kids as well. I have 4 girls ages 20 (today is her birthday), 18, 14 and some to be 4 and I am trying for one more and I would love a son. Let us know once you get your cd 21 test back. KiraLeigh - I think you should only take the clomid for 6 cycles but I know some of the ladies have taken it longer. Not sure if you will get twins the first time around or not. Why don't you do IVF or IUI I know them treatment have a higher chance of you getting twins or tripplets. Good Luck to you and let us know. Hey ladies here is my very little update. I am cd 18 5dpo and took my 2nd day of the progesterone gel and so far so good. I am just being really moody, cranky, crampy and tired. I know I am way to early to be thinking about testing so I am not even going there. I do have a lot to do this weekend so that will take my mind off things. I have a football game to attend tonight then tomorrow I have to take my youngest daughter and my granddaughter to WIC or my 14 year old daughter have to attend Saturday school and she have to be there at 8am so no sleeping in for me. After I get back from WIC I am going to go to the laundry mat so I can take care of that and not be there for no 6 hours. Sunday I will go to church cook sunday dinner and get ready for my night job. Well everybody have a GREAT WEEKEND and I hope to see some BFP. Krissy68

Hi Samantha, I had a year trying naturally and only twice did I see cm and saw a period. This is why I'm a__suming I only ovulated then. Now I'm taking the temperature and using a monitor to check. This was my first cycle. Krissy, have a good weekend and the provera I need to take for 10 days before getting a period. BABY DUST TO ALL...

krissy.... i had to take provera. 2 tablets twice a day for 5 days.. was told af should arrive a day or so after last pill.. mine took 7 more days.. bugger of a thing.. this cycle being my first for clomid.. on cd 16 and 17 i had discomfort in my innerds.. but not one one side on both but more on my left that i had backache left side also.. can i a__sume this to be O.. i know my opk's and monitor were positive for O... but can anyone tell me if they actually feel O what are the symptoms ????

Hi Jodi, did your doctor prescribe you to provera for 5 days twice a day? I've taken it a couple of times and I always took for 10 days. It did show up after 5 days. I need to take it again for my second cycle, the pain sounds like o pain. good luck to you and I hope you get a BFP.
