Hi all, Krissy- let us know how your appointment goes with the doc tomorrow. Trying- when are you gonna test? Good luck! Nothing to update about me. Just want to wish everyone good luck with their cycles!

Hi ladies, I am new to this post. I posted on another forum about clomid yesterday at this site. I took clomid at the end of June and became pregnant. I took 75 mg the first two days, and then 50 for the next 3 days because I started to think that I should go with the lowest dose. I took it days 3-7 and I am hoping for twins. My husband and I have three children that we had no trouble conceiving, and I am 6 weeks and two days pregnant. I go for my u/s on the 13th.

denacabby: Good luck hope you get what you want. AFM, I'm cd10 and I have strechy CM i'm also taking estrogen because clomid tends to dry me up.We start bd on cd7 so hope this month it will work out. I had an HSG done last month and according to some researchers the 1st 3 months has a hight rate of pregnancy.

dana - can't wait to hear how many babes you have in there! I am on cD 10 and I took clomid on days 3-7...I also took 75mg for two days and then only took 50 bc I was scared of overstimulating. No major side effects - some moodiness and very minor hot flashes. I started taking Robi and it is definitely helping with the CM...I seem to have lots already. I did order preseed online so we have been using that too. I start using OPK today so hopefully I'll get a positive soon. I really feel like I am going to get multiples - but I am sure we all feel that way!!!! We'll be happy with just one but I totally feel like I'll get 2 or 3.

Dana and mommy~~ First welcome to the group cant wait to hear how things turn out the girls in here are such great supporters. Second how did you guys get your clomid? I am asking this because you guys said you took 75mg and then 50mg. Trying to figure out how you got 75mg. The reason why is due to the fact some people are selling what they are saying is clomid but its not. Clomid just comes in 50mg tablets. Another one of our trying mommys found this out at her doctor last month. So just thought I would give you the heads up.

mommyoftwoboys - August 4

I know clomid only comes in 50mg. A friend game me her left over clomid (she has a rx for it) and I cut the pills in half. So I took 1 full 50mg pill and 1/2 of a 50mg pill. Make sense? I couldnt decide on 50 or 100 so that is why I went with 75mg - but then I got concerned I would over stimulate and I just starting taking 1 pill!

mommy~~ Okay I was just make sure you knew that. Wasnt trying to say anything wrong. I do think you did the right thing by going back to 50mg. Thats what my doctor put me on for the first month and we worked up to 150mg. I really hope you have great news at the end of the month. Do you take your temps to? Sorry am I being nosey? Its just you group of girls are the only ones that know what and how I am feeling. So I like to know info but I guess sometimes that can be a bad thing.

Krissy~~ How did your doctors appointment go????

mommyoftwoboys - August 4

Trying - I hope my post didn't sound rude! It is good to put that info on here for the girls who don't know clomid is only legit in 50mg. I was just saying that I already knew that info and i know my clomid isn't counterfeit! So I'm sorry if I seemed rude at all...not my intent :) Hugs! I'm not taking my temp. I am horrible at remembering when I wake up so I am going just based on OPK and cervical mucus (I ALWAYS get a ton of EWCM when I ovulate so hopefully I will still get it being on clomid). Today is CD 9 and we are going to BD starting tonight and then at least every second night until at least CD 24!!!!! Don't want to miss any opportunity! Do you temp? Where in your cycle are you?

SoReady - August 4

Trying - How are your temps looking? Have you tested yet? I tested this morning and got a BFN. I go in tomorrow for a blood test. I am excited and nervous all at the same time. And I will find out the results either Thurs or Fri. I have a feeling that it isdnt gonna happen this cycle but I am gonna keep my fingers crossed anyways. When i called my OB's office today, I found out that my OB had her baby already so I guess that I will be getting a new OB for a month or so. I wonder if he is gonna do something different with me then what she was doing. Hopfully I will know something by the end of the week.

Maya444 - It was a big disappointment I have to go back in 3 months she only said that my periods are regular duh I know that and to use opk test I told her I already do that and then she said how do the test turn out I told her I get a negative then positive she said good that means you don't have pcos and that you are ovulating regularly so I have to see her in 3 months and she said all my blood work is okay and that I am not menopausal so I guess that is good. I have 6 days left of Prometrium left, and it is going ever so slow! My insurance doesn't cover anything that has to do with infertility. When I saw the RE the first time she only billed for PCOS and charged me $50, but warned me that next time she will have to bill it as infertility. I paid only $30 for the Clomid.... without insurance coverage, so I guess it's really not expensive at all! My next appt may cost anywhere from 200 to 300, and I'm not even sure how much the trigger and u/s will cost! It just sucks when you have to actually pay to try to get pregnant, and so many other ppl can actually get pregnant with very little effort. It just takes away apart of you when you are faced with infertility, you feel like less of a woman. I am gonna keep my head up though cuz thats all I can do at this point!

I bought preseed from a store near by i never even knew about. You can find your local store at preseed.com. Im gonna use it tonight! jejejeje

Maya444 - August 5

Krissy- Wow!!! that was definitely a big disappointment. You already waited three months to try on your own as per her instructions only to get the same advice? Is it possible for you to see a different doc, one who actually wants to do something? Sam- I can soooo relate to you on this one. I have no infertility coverage either and tomorrow I will be paying $300 for my intial visit with the RE. Although I don't have a specific figure right now, but I think I will be paying $1500 to $2000 per cycle :( My dh has already started picking up extra load at work to get me the treatment, so you can imagine how I feel about not being able to get pregnant like most ladies. Good luck ladies!

momofprincesses - August 5

Hey Ladies, I am new to the forum, although I have been reading/ researching for around 9 months. I already have 3 lovely little girls, but DH and I want a large family. My period is all over the place- 48 days, 22 days, 34 days, and half of the time I don't ovulate. Because of my age (25), my doctor won't even consider giving me medecine until we have been trying for at least 2 years (who wants to wait that long?!) So, I am taking u/p clomid 100 mg starting tomorrow evening (3-7). I have pre-seed, and the little period cups, and have been taking fish-oil. I am excited, but apprehensive. I just want to be pregnant- Although I would have to admit, the thought of twins is thrilling. Anywayz, Sticky baby-dust to all!

Heres some info on triphasic patterns's. I will post more later have to go to the dentist. Some charts show a "triphasic pattern." A triphasic pattern is when your chart shows a second thermal shift, starting around 7-10 days past ovulation. Three or more higher temperatures that are sustained are needed before you can consider the pattern triphasic. Remember, not all triphasic pattern charts result in pregnancy. Likewise, you do not have to have triphasic temperatures to be pregnant. Your BBT is your fertility sign that relates to the hormone progesterone. This is the only sign that can confirm that ovulation actually happened, while all the other signs that you chart only tell you that ovulation may be approaching.
