I am 12 weeks pregnant with my first child.I have gained only 5 pounds but have grown 5 inches in my waist.My boyfriends mom is a nurse and thiks that I am big for as far along as I am.I know my dates arent off because this was a planned pregnancy,could I be carrying twins?

You should talk to your doctor, its sounds like it is possible. He can give you an ultra sound to find out for sure. Usually in first times pregnancy, you don't show that as big, so maybe you are. Check in the the doctor to be sure.

They say you throw up more due to hormone increase, so if the bottom of the toilet is all too familiar then maybe in 6 months time you'll be changing two sets of nappies. Good luck with everything X

I am expecting twins this November. I did not know for sure until 19 weeks gestation. I did throw up more and I have been sleeping so much since the beginning of this pregnancy ( not like my previous 2). Anyway I did not start to show until about week 15 and still I am not wearing maternity clothes (27 weeks) just a larger size. I am carrying quite differently than my previous 2.
