I'm 24, first pregnancy, and I just found out I'm pregnant (6wks.) with twins and had some questions for anyone expecting multiples .... Is it normal to have to pee every 2 1/2 to three hours? Also, my b___sts are soooo sore... like untouchable sore.... is this normal too? Any advice would be helpful. Thank you.

Megan - I've sometimes felt a kind of fluttering feeling and wondered if it was movement. I've read and been told that you don't really feel fetal movement until much later, like 17 or 19 weeks. On my last sonogram at 12 weeks, they were moving around quite a bit and it wasn't anything I could feel. Nikki - I have to pee every couple of hours too. I'm up 2-3 times each night. I guess its good practice for when the babies come. My b___sts were so sore that I couldn't even sleep on my side until about 10 weeks. Then the tenderness subsided.

Thanks for the reply Jennifer. I am now 17 weeks so possibly that is the babies I can feel..........I've also been told that being pregnant affects the mind, making us forgetful and scatterbrained, which unfortunately has affected me considerably!! Thanks again

I am due April 19th if I go 40 weeks and April 4th if I go 38 weeks. This is my third pregnancy. I have a 3 & 2 year old at home. This pregnancy was unexpected & to find out I'm pregnant with identical twins was even more crazy. I am starting my 13 week this Wednesday. Is anyone going to find out what they are having? I think that I am. I have two girls and if these babies are boys, they will need boy things. Good luck to everyone!

I am going to find out the s_x as soon as I can. First of all, I think it is very exciting to find out, and second, there is so much preparation with twins that I want to have as much helpful information as possible. Wow, Lynn, you'll have four little ones soon - what an adventure! :)

My edd is actually March 30, but that's pretty close to April. My symptoms have been so mild that I actually thought something was wrong...until my doctor straightened me out. For a first pregnancy, this has been pretty easy (which makes me think that birth will be a whole lot harder). I'm not sure if what I'm feeling in my tummy is my babies moving or the spicy food I ate for lunch!

Hi ladies. I am due in April with twins also, but may actually deliver in March. I just found out 3 days ago at my ultrasound. My husband wasn't there and I just started bawling. Total shock and surprise (natural twins). I have a one year old daughter and a very demanding/high pressure job. I had no idea I was having twins. No symptoms at all - no nausea, no fatigue. This pregnancy has been much easier than with my daughter. I'm around 13 weeks and can't wait to find out the s_x of each. Does anyone know what kinds of cars besides minivans can handle three car seats? : )

Laura- The Dodge Durango is plenty big, as it has 3 rows of seats, so the older child can be in the 3rd row and the infants can be in the middle. Pretty much any SUV with 3 rows of seats will work of you don't want the minivan.

My doctor told me that twins are on average delivered at 36 weeks, rather than 40. I guess that makes us all expecting in March, rather than April! :)

Hi guys, I too am expecting twins and they should arrive anywhere between March 22 and April 22. This will be our first and we are very excited. It was a long road to get to where we are! Did anyone use IVF?

Hello and congrats to all you "twin mommies"! I'm trying to read anything and everything I can about twins, as I am expecting twins on May 12th. I also have a 10 1/2 yr. old and a very energetic 3 yr. old. I'm very anxious and scared about having twins... wondering how I will deal with all the extras that come along with them. I just found out at my 1st ultrasound 10-14-05 and will be 12 weeks this Friday, but I'm still in shock. Never dreamed of something like this happening 3rd time around! It seems like the morning sickness might be starting to subside, although now I'm experiencing a terrible gag reflex frequently. I've also noticed that I'm completely exhausted by 6pm if not earlier! Also, I have this strange metallic taste in my mouth. Just wondering, is anyone else exper. this?
I've noticed a lot more pain (due to stretching etc.) down in the lower abdomen and pelvic region, sometimes it's very uncomfortable! Just wondering when most of you twin mommies started to show? I keep dreaming that one morning I'll wake up and bang... big belly! Thanks for reading!

Everything sounds so familiar! I'm 16 weeks now and lukily the morning sickness is gone - so hang in there Beth. I've had a bad gag reflex too, and it has gotten a little better. I started to show at 10 weeks! I feel like I look six months pregnant by now. I had quite a bit of pain duing my 14th and 15th week. I saw last week at the ultrasound that one baby is breech, lying at a diagonal, and the other is above him and transverse - lying across my abdomen. So I figure all the aches and pains are due to the fact that I'm being stretched in just about every direction! Drea - I had bleeding and brown discharge early on - did yours subside? I attribute it to implantation bleeding, but my doctor was very careful for the entire first trimester, and told me to abstain from exercise and s_x. Things seem to be fine now! Take care, everyone!

Hi there! I'm 11 weeks, due mid May but will probably have c-section end of April. This is my 2nd pregnancy - 1st one ended in a missed m/c (found out during my 13 week u/s), so I am very nervous. Have been having morning sickness which is excellent (funny the things you are thankful for after a miscarriage!). Found out it was twins at an 8wk u/s. The night before I had bright red bleeding and thought I'd lost my pregnancy, then went in for the scan and found that not only was I still pregnant, but it was twins - amazing!! The bleeding was from a burst cyst on my ovary, but still made me really scared. It's great to read everyone's story and see what lies just ahead for me. Jennifer, when you say you started "showing" at 10 weeks, what exactly did you notice? I noticed my belly kind of comes in at the sides and then pokes out at the front, and starts to poke out from right above the pubic area, if you know what I mean. Anyway, I've rambled on long enough. Take care and good luck to you all and your little beans!

hi lynette
ive just read your post and it was like reading my own experience! this is also my second pregnancy, due date 01 May 06, and my first pregnancy ended in a missed miscarriage. i'm such a bundle of nerves as i'm hardly showing, not feeling any movement, and i know what you mean about the morning sickness - i have been feeling much better over the past few days, but i keep thinking is something wrong as im not feeling sick anymore! regarding showing, my stomach seems to be all flat in the morning and then bulging by the evening - are you also experiencing this?
