Heartbeats And Viability

Just had 1st u/s on Tuesday a.m. Found out we're having twins. There are two gestational sacs. The technician said the twins look good, are the same age and have good heartbeats. Anyone know anything about the viability of twin embryos if they both have heartbeats? The technician said that means their chances are excellent, but I'm worried!

I should add the doctor seems to think those are all good signs as well.

I'm a little over seven weeks. I called with a question today, and the midwife said also there's nothing to be worried about at this point. They are in the best possible situation for twins.

At my 7 week ultrasound the dr told me the same thing. Once they see the heartbeats your chances of miscarriage decrease to the same as they are thought the rest of your pregnancy. I believe like 5%. Congrats and good luck. I know how it is to worry. I am 22 weeks and just started to calm down a bit.

When I had my first u/s at 8 weeks and saw both hb's, I asked the Dr. what our risk of m/c was at that point (we had just suffered one 6 weeks before we concieved the twins) and he told me that is was 2% or below. HTH.
