Brie-I hope everything went well today. I'm so excited to hear. I am on 50mg, day 3-7 of clomid. It's my first month. On Monday I go for some blood tests to see if I ovulated, If I didn't or am not pregnant he will up it to 100mg.

Thanks girls for the well wishes. The US went great. We have ONE healthy "sac" which is what I was hoping for. Twins would have been too much for us right now. Wonderful of course, but with all the risks, I was hoping for only one. We weren't able to see the heartbeat just yet so we will go back in 2 weeks to get it then. He said everything looked perfect. It looks like a little tadpole:) Mary, I am so sorry to hear of you m/c. How far along were you? Gosh that must have been awful. I'm sure you will get pregnant again quickly. Try to BD as much as you possibly can during your week. Are you getting anultrasound to check for follicles? You def should do that. It really helps with the timing of things. And like I said before, if you don't have follicles, they can start your preiod again right then so you can start the next doseage right away and you don't ahve to waste any time. I never did get any hotflashes or any sideeffets really with clomid. I guess I was lucky. Keep your chin up, and bd like crazy. I'm sure it will work!! Malisa, They started me at 50 mg days 3-7 also. I had to go up to 100 though, cause the 50 wasn't strong enough. I'm telling you....bd like it's going out of style. You never know when those guys will get there......Hopefully you have no sideeffects and can handle it all fine. Are you getting an ultrasound also to check for follicles? Keep me posted everyone! Baby dust!!!!!! have a great weekend.

Brie- thanks for all the info - I have an appointment with the Dr. on the 24th of this month - I have also been testing to see if I am ovulating - my question to you and everyone else is that, how soon after taking clomid some a person bd? I waited three days after - is that ok? I miscarried at 7 week - it was awful - how far along are you? I will be testing tonight to see if I am ovulating - thanks for the info.

Mary, I will be 7 weeks on Friday. God do I hope everything stays good. It must have been absolutely terrible for you. Did you have any symptoms beforehand? As far as the bding.....I took clomid days 3-7, and we started bding everyday (sometimes twice) on day 12. We did it on day 9, but it wasn't a "trying" time. It was simply fun :) We went days 12-16. Some people said I should have continued for a few days even after the ovulation predictor began to be negative, but I guess I was already pregnant, so it didn't matter. Again, I am just so sorry and hope you get pregnany quickly. I'm glad you are going to the Dr this month. Maybe he can speed things up. I am so nervous and have to wait untilnext Wed to go back for a second ultrasound to see the heartbeat. I would be 7 weeks and 5 days on that Wed. Keep me posted on your progress. I hope you are ovulating!! Take care

Brie - thanks for the quick response - I have not been ovulating - my husband thinks I should by today or tomorrow - we read that ovulation should begin by day 6 after clomid - hopefully I will ovulate soon. As far as symptoms, I was just feeling sick altogether- dizzy, upset, sleepy and tired - I bleed constantly and thought it was just my period seeing that it once every 3 to 4 mths. I did the test and in less than a minute it was positive - I rushed to the doctor and he said I was about 7 wks - i did the first u/s and they could not hear the heartbeat - Went back to the Dr. the same day and he said according to the results of the u/s the baby died - I was a complete mess and decided to wait another week (although I realize I was not sleepy anymore, nor dizzy or upset) - the dr. decided to do two blood test the following week to see if the hcg count is increasing and another v____al u/s - at the end of the week I went to the Dr. for the result and he said the hcg count is decreasing (baby is shrinking) - infact the baby died - i decided to do the D&C to remove it the following monday - the saturday before I started contracting (worst than period pain)- I had gone out for a short while- as soon as I parked the car the water broke (uncontroble pee) and the baby came down. I am ok now - it was very difficult but it was God's will - I pray that every things is will with you. I will be bding alot this week - thanks

I am 36 with two kids, 3 and 5 and have been trying for #3 for 11 months. If my FSH levels are under 10 and my husband's count looks good, the doctor is going to start me on Clomid next cycle. He mentioned that there was an 8% chance of twins while on Clomid and slightly higher due to my age. There seems to be several sets of twins mentioned here conceived with Clomid. Just a little nervous. Are most of you older or younger than 35?

amyjoe30 - January 13

Hi. I am a twin myself. I have done a bit of research on this because twins come strictly from the maternal side. Being a twin or having a mother that is a twin you have around 1:17 chance. Also it depends on your age and race. Clomid increases your chances of around 5%. There is a pretty good bit of stuff of the internet, tell her to research. I start Clomid for the first time in 2 days. Me and my husband would love to have twins first go round. Maybe with my history and the Clomid it will happen. Good luck to your cousin!!!!!

Hey girls, so I went for my first progesterone blood test, and it came back that I didn't ovulate my first cycle. So hopefully next month. I didn't really get my hopes up because my doctor said it may take a few months. Anyways, I'll keep you posted. Hope you are all doing well, and Brie it's good to hear the ultrasound went great and you have a healthy baby. Good luck to you all!

I went to Dr. for progesterone level check on Jan. 24- just waiting for dr's office to call. We have a 3 year old and we lost our baby girl at birth last April. We conceived with both pregnancies using clomid. I would really like to have twins. This is the second round of clomid at 50mg. If not this time- dr. will move to 100mg. Just anxiously waiting.....

Hi girlls, I am on clomid and going for IUI this week and wondering all TWIN MUMS, HOW MANY FOLLIES YOU HAD BEFORE YOU GOT PREGNANT WITH TWINS?

Malisa - February 20

NikkiM- I also have pcos and am on clomid days 3-7, This is my second cycle on clomid, the first month i didn't ovulate, I go for my progesterone test one week from now. I really hope i ovulate. I am on 50mg. If I don't ovulate my doc will move me up to 100mg. I know that some women will get pregnant on 50mg. But I hear alot of women have to increase the dosage. I've also heard most women get pregnant during their 1-3rd round of clomid. I know that clomid is a pretty successful drug, as long as there isn't any other problems.(fallopian tube blockage or low sperm count) Have you and your husband had those tests done?

NikkiM - February 20

Malisa: Thank you so much for your reply. I am done with Clomid now, however I took an ovulation test this morning and I still have not ovulated (discouraged) and the way it is looking, I want. My days to have intercourse is this coming Wednesday, Friday and Sunday (day 12,14 and 16) My doctor told me even if the ovulation kit shows I am not ovulating to still have intercourse as there is still a chance. We have not had a fallopian tube or sperm count test yet? Not sure why they did not do that first? I go for my pesterone test March 3 if I do not ovulate they will put me on a higher dosage as well. I just really want this to happen, its been 14 years. I hear a lot of women say they get pregnant on the 50mg and a lot who do not. O' wel.....How do you feel about it all?

MelissaSLP - February 20

NikkiM - I also have PCOS and found out about it quite early because I have never had a period on my own my whole life. Anyways, I am 28 yrs. old and have a 3 year old (as of tomorrow - I was in labor with her 3 yrs ago today :)) and 5 mo. old twins. I had a m/c right before I concieved the twins. I took Clomid with Metformin to concieve all my pregnancies. My first was concieved on 100 mg. and the last two were concieved at 150 mg. It is good practice to start off on low doses and then move up. Unfortunately, it is also good practice to make sure that your tubes and your DH's sperm are good before starting clomid as well. I would ask about this. It took us 6 cycles to concieve our first, 5 cycles for the one that ended in m/c and then we concieved the twins on the next cycle after the m/c. Good luck to you TTC!!

Malisa - February 20

NikkiM- I feel really positive. I'm pretty sure I will get pregnant and so is my doctor. i'm 24 years old so I know that I have lots of time, and there is so many things out there these days. For me the clomid doesn't have any side affects on 50mg, but if i move up next month, it may be different. My doctor said it may take a couple of months to start to ovulate on the clomid, so I'm trying not to get my hopes up just yet. By the third cycle I may start to think different though. how come you are only supposed to have intercourse on days 12,14,16? My doc told me every second day, from day 10-24. Just because we don't know when i will ovulate.

NikkiM - February 20

Malisa- I am not sure why my doctor told me to have intercourse on those days, however, today is day 10 and I am starting intercourse now and every other day until March 3. However, the last time I have intercourse I have felt some unusual pain on my left side where my ovaries are, I am not sure why and I felt the pain for a while after wards, I am a little scared. I am trying to stay positive however it is hard.
