How Many Clomid Twin Moms Out There

Yes. I started the medroxyprogesterone on the 20th. I am supposed to take that for 12 days straight. I am on day 5 now. The doctor told me to keep taking them even when I get my period, I have to take all 12. Then on days 3-7 I take the clomid, even if I am still taking the medroxy. Thanks for the information MelissaSLP, that's what I was worried about, the days he told us to have intercourse, I wouldn't be "O", and it would waste the whole month. I hate to hear about your bad luck Malisa. My doctor said that even though I didn't have my period, it had appeared that I had "O". Has anyone had any luck with the Clomid - Medroxy combination????

MelissaSLP, I took your advise. I went on ebay and purchased a set of OPK. It has like 20 o tests, & 5 pg tests. I can't wait for them to get here. Oh yeah, everyone send me lots of baby dust, I am starting to spot, so in three days I get to start my clomid!!!

AlisaD- Do you know why your doctor told you to keep on taking the pills even if you got your period? when i took them last month i got my period on the 5th pill, my doctor wasn't in so i asked the pharmacist and she said if i got my period i could stop. This month i'm on pill 7 and still haven't got it.

Hi girls! I was told to take progesterone (prometrium) for 10 days. I always would end up getting my period by day 5. I would then take clomid on days 3-7. I got pregnant on my third round of clomid (100mg). My Dr did an ultrasound on day 12 to see if I had any follicles. I only had one the month I got preg. I'm 17 1/2 weeks along. I think it is important to talk to your Drs about doing the U/S to see if you are going to ovulate. Because if you aren't, then they can up your dosage of clomid and start you right back on the progesterone immediately. Good luck!

brie- congratulations!! That is so awsome it give us all hope hearing someone elses success. i am on my third month of clomid of 100mg, i didn't ovulate the first 2 months so i am hoping so badly that i will this month. I also have pcos. Do you? and did you ovulate the first 2 months on clomid before you got pregnant?

brie1227 - March 28

HI Malisa, Have they up'd your dosage of clomid? I was on 50mg for 2 months and did not ovulate. One the third month I was on 100mg and I did ovulate. The first 2 months I was seeing my regular ob/gyn and they were testing my progesterone level on day 21. On the 3rd month I went to a specialist and he did an ultrasound on day 12 to see if I was going to ovulate. (he also did the day 21 progesterone test). Like I said before, the U/S was the key becuase he was able to see if I had any follicles that would release (ovulate). Had I not had any, he would have immediately strted me back on the prometrium to get a period and then clomid 150mg. I also have pcos. They had me on 1500mg of Metoformin(glucaphage). The took me off the metoformin once they found the heartbeat though. I would talk to your Dr about increasing the mg of clomid and doing a day 12 ultrasound. Hopefully it will speed the process up for you. I know how long it feels and how frustrating it all is. Stay on top of it with your Dr. Insist on what you think you need. Let me know if you are already doing all of this, as I don't mean to be repet_tive.

Brie1227- The first 2 months I was on clomid it was a 50mg dose. I am just on my last few pills of provera, waiting for my period, then I will start clomid 100mg for the first time. I also go for the progesterone test on day 24 to see if i ovulate. Your giving me hope this month. I can't wait to start the clomid. My doctor said if i don't get pregnant after 6 months of being on clomid then to come back and see him, and we will have to try something else. 6 months seems so long, i really hope this works. Did you bd every second day. My doc said every second day from Cd10- 24.

Malissa, We Bded every day from day 12 to day 19. I am sure it will happen for you, have faith. Why don't you suggest to your Dr that you would like an U/S on day 12 to see if you are even going to ovulate? Because if you aren't, then they can immediately up your dosage to 150mg and get you started sooner. My regular OBGYN was not doing U/S. And I was never ovulating. The first time I went to the specialist and he gave me 100mg, he did the U/S and sure enough I had a follicle and got pregnant! I found that taking control really helped me and husband. We weren't waiting for the Dr to do it, we were the ones seeking out the treatment plan we wanted--and it worked. It cna't hurt to ask. 6 months on cloid is what they told me too. He said he would start the IUI's if I didn't get Preg after 6 months. But it only took 3. Hang in there. I will pray for babies for you!!

Malisa, We concieved our singleton on our 6th cycle of Clomid (although it was a year to the date of starting it b/c my cyles were so long). When we started trying again, it took 5 cycles to get pregnant again (ended in m/c), but got pregnant again on the next cycle with the twins. So, really 6 cycles for each successful pregnancy. Baby Dust to you!

I don't know why he told me that, but he said that I needed to take the full dose (12 pills). I started progesterone on the 20th. On the 27th I started my period. It lasted 8 days, but I hadn't had a period in 3 months (I have PCOS and my periods don't come if I'm not of BC pills). I took clomid on days 3-7, and I am now on day 13. We are supposed to bd on days 13,15,17. I did buy an OPT kit off ebay, and I took one test yesterday and it was negative. It is supposed to show up positive, I believe 24-36 hours before "O". Anyways, he said to take all of the progesterone even if I got my period, and take clomid on days 3-7, then come see him if I haven't had a period by day 35. He'll then do a pg test, and if it's negative, he'll do an ultrasound to see if I've ovulated. If I am not pg, he'll up my clomid to 100mg. Hopefully I will not need to get upped. My Husband wanted to kill me with the low dose clomid. He threatened to hide them from me because I was so 0-60 mad, and very emotional. I'd just start crying for absolutely no reason, and he's like "I DIDN"T DO ANYTHING!!!" LOL. It's just a small sacrafice for a baby.

KitCat - May 8

Last month was my 1st cycle of 100 mg clomid and so far I am 3 days late for AF. I have yet to take a HPT cause I'm a bit nervous. If it's positive, it will be my 8th pregnancy and I have one son who is 6 years old. The others were 4 early m/c's all before 9 weeks, one tubal pregnancy and one that I lost at 14 weeks. So as you can see, it's not the "getting pg" part I have a problem with, it's the "making it stick" part. I think today I will buy a test and see if it's positive. Wish me luck!!
