How Many Clomid Twin Moms Out There

Last month was my 1st cycle of 100 mg clomid and so far I am 3 days late for AF. I have yet to take a HPT cause I'm a bit nervous. If it's positive, it will be my 8th pregnancy and I have one son who is 6 years old. The others were 4 early m/c's all before 9 weeks, one tubal pregnancy and one that I lost at 14 weeks. So as you can see, it's not the "getting pg" part I have a problem with, it's the "making it stick" part. I think today I will buy a test and see if it's positive. Wish me luck!!

KitCat-I wish you all the luck in the world. I could not imagine going through what you have gone through. Again, good luck on the results and the pg (if that is the result).

Twinmom2be- Thanks for your wishes of good luck. Unfortunately the HPT was a big fat negative, and AF started on Tuesday. So I guess I'll be starting a 2nd cycle of clomid again soon.......*sigh* I saw your post that you got PG with twins on your first cycle of clomid...what dosage was it, if you don't mind saying? Thanks in advance.

KitCat-sorry to hear AF showed up. I was on 50 mg days 3-7. I did ovulate by myself just not regularly. Maybe that is why I ended up with twins :) Again good luck.

hey everyone. Just wanted to update on my clomid story. I just went thru cycle 2 on clomid. I am on day 14 and just got back from mr dr. appt. He gave me an ultrasound to monitor my "progress". He said that my right ovary didn't do anything, and that my left ovary produced a folicle. (I thought that I was supposed to produce several folicles in one ovary? I hear women say the got 9 from the left and 9 from the right, sometimes more? Maybe that's with a special drug, because it's usually always with IFV people?) He said that I had a really thick white stripe!!), and he also said that was uterus looked great, and it was all ready to go. He said for us to bd on the 14th, 16th, and 18th this time. I also have my opt's so I'll be monitoring that. Last month for my 1st clomid cycle I O'd on cd17 and had the dredded af on cd32(It came all by itself, so that's a plus. Before, I would only have AF if I was on bc pills!). So everyone wish me luck, and pray for the wicked witch to stay away!!!

HI there, Alisa, I just wanted to tell you that I did 3 rounds of clomid. 2 months at 50mg and 1 month at 100mg. I went in on Day 12 of my cycle on the 100, and only had 1 follicle. I didn't have any on my right, and only the one on my left. I was so disappointed and felt terribly disappointed, as I was hoping to obviously have many since that made the chances go up for getting PG. My Dr told us to bd every day until day 18 and we did. I got pregnant first try! I never ovulated on the 50 mg, so the first month that clomid worked, boom--i got pregnant. I was also taking metoformin. So just thought I would give you some hope. Even though you only had one follicle---it only takes one. So bd like crazy and have fun! I wish you all the best! Good luck and baby dust!!!

You were told to bd every day? My doctor told me only every other day, because if you bd every day it lowers the sperm count. I was thinking constantly bd also, that way, not to sound bad, there's alot more "in" there (sorry) and the higher your chances would be. I think I'll take your advise and bd alot like you said!!! Thanks for the story, it makes me feel alot better to hear someone going through what I am experiencing, and come out with a positive result.

Just wondering where everyone else is. I am on cd 19, 5dpo

big118girl - May 16

Hi AlisaD. I am on cd20. There are a few ladies on "anyone take clomid days 1-5" Everyone is just starting to take it or have taken it. I'm the closest to you. What day are you going to test?

AlisaD - May 16

I'm not sure, I always get too anxious and test way too soon, and jinx myself, LOL. Last month my cycle was 32 days. I am supposed to expect my af around cd 28, and call dr. if no af by cd35. So I figure I am going to try and wait it out this time to at least cd30. TRY being the key word!!! It's just so hard to do when that's all that's on your mind, then you read about people saying "I tested on this day and got a positive!!!, or my period isn't even due for a week, and I got a positive!" It's so aggrivating!! GRRR!! hopefully I will have a bfp to add to the list this time around!!!

KitCat - May 17

Just an update....I am on my 2nd cycle of 100mg clomid on CD 9 today. The clomid made my cycles longer last month. I usually get AF on day 27 or 28, but last month was on day 32. And I wasn't PG cuz I took a test. How many of you take either Robitussin or Mucinex while on Clomid? Thanks in advance, Cat

AlisaD - May 17

This last cycle that I am on now, I took robitussin. I took 2tsp in the am and 2 tsp in the pm, but you are only supposed to take it until you ovulate!!!

AlisaD - May 17

I tried taking the epo, (evening primrose oil), but it kept giving me sharp pains, and I would get lightheaded, and my mouth would start watering and I felt as if I was going to faint, so I didn't take it the next day and it didn't happen, and I took it the day after that - and it happened again, so I am not taking it anymore. I'll just stick to my robitussin!

KitCat - May 17

I have heard that Mucinex is better because you only have to take one pill a day as opposed to 2 tsp 3x a day with the Robitussin. Also, I found out I purchased the wrong kind of Robitussin and had to go back and get the right one with the right active ingredient. Sheesh! AlisaD, have you also used progesterone cream before or no? Just curious. I have heard of women eating yams to help, but ughhh, yams are #2 on my list of 'things I refuse to eat'. Guess you either like them or you don't! LOL KitCat

AlisaD - May 18

No. I haven't tried, and do not know anything about the progesterone cremes. My Dr. did prescribe me medroxyprogesterone pills to take for 12 days to get my af going because I don't have an af without bc pills. (I had one all by myself last month though!!! YAY ME!) I too bought the wrong robitussin, and had to go back and get the right kind. I haven't heard anything about mucinex, so I haven't tried that. The doctor seemed pleased with the progress I had made, so I don't know if I want to "mess" with anything else. I have come sooo far, I'm just so afraid I am going to mess something up. Anyways, I am on my 2ww. I am currently at cd21, 7dpo. I am also charting, and my temp this am was 98.6, if I am pg, I should be experiencing a 1 day implantation dip, then it should go back up and stay up, if I'm not, then around cd28 it will drop down to around 97.5 and stay there. So, here's to my temps staying where they are!!!

AlisaD - May 24

Hi everyone, just wanted to give an update. Today I am at cd28, 13dpo. Breasts are killing me, I did get too test happy and tested way too early - on the 25th& got a bfn, so I am trying to hold out and not test again til' sunday. Last cycle I got O on cd12, and af on cd32. This month I got O on cd15, and am praying like no other that there is no af this month. I figured I would wait until cd 32 to test again and that is sunday. It's wed. now, so I have 4 more days to go. I am exhausted all the time, I feel like I've got a mild case of the flu, bb's are killing me, I have no energy, my sense of taste is crazy, everything seems really strong tasting, I am getting dizzy, I've gotten nauseus several times, but haven't actually "gotten sick" if you know what I mean. I don't know if these are pg signs or af signs, I am praying HARD that they are the former. I suppose I could test today at 13 dpo, but I am going to fight it (see that's my bad side trying to talk me into it!!!) until sunday - I will be at cd32, 17dpo. Wish me luck and strength everyone.
