cb- I was so tired for what seemed like forever! But, it went away by the 15 or 16 week. I'm still not up to doing marathons, but I'm not so tired that I don't know how I'll finish the work day anymore!
Candi- I don't know what the yolk sac is, I've heard others mentioning it. But, only being 10 weeks, they could still find that your babies are in separate amniotic sacs. If they are sharing a placenta, I believe that means they share the outer sac (chorionic sac). This is what I have. This is the most common way identical twins are (about 72% of the time) monoamniotc (sharing both the outer and inner sac as well as the placenta) only happens about 3% of the time. The "normal" twins, with their own outer sac, inner sac, and placenta, only happens about 25% of the time. (or so I've read!)

Hi Candi, Im not too sure, but on another site (monoamniotic.org) they said that the number of yolk sacs can determine the number of amniotic sacs!! But not always, but like Michelle said you only being ten weeks, aparantly you should wait untill at least 12 weeks, before you can see the membrane, and that has to be on a high resolution ultrasound!!! I really hope that they find that membrane for you!!! That site that I mentioned was really good for me!!! You might want to have a look at it!!! As most doctors are negative about monoamniotic twin pregnancies!!! Good luck!!!
Well I am feeling a bit better today, my son is at daycare!!! I can rest :)) I am looking forward to next friday, I go and have another ultrasound, I am hoping we will be able to see what they are!!! Talk soon!!!!

Hi Ladies. Thanks Melanie. That is helpful information. My OB had mentioned something that after the first baby is born they will put me on some sort of drip to keep my contractions strong, must be what you had! CB. I have been sooooooo tired and drained just about the whole time. I felt great my last two pregnancies and right from the beginning this time I had no energy. I did start feeling a little better b/w 16 and 26 wks but started dragging my but again. The air conditioning will be great! My girls are going away this weekemd with their Grandma for 3 days. I am now 34 1/2 wks and really can use the relaxing. Can't wait. Talk to you soon!

Hi Ladies. I am having a wonderful relaxing weekend. My girls are gone but I can't believe how much I miss them. I was so excited for them to go and have a break, but am so bored without them. CB yes I would like to carry to 38 wks. My OB said avg delivery is 36 wks. I am hoping for a natural delivery, both heads are down so as long as they don't do some amazing acrobatic move hopefully they will stay that way. He was prepping me for the delivery when I seen him last. It is sounds like it is going to be a very hectic place. One DR and nurse for each baby, plus my OB and nurses for me. He said I am only allowed to have one person with me. My mom is a little upset, she was there for the delivery of my last two, but she will have to skip this one. Well have a great weekend, TTYS

Hey CB, you sound like you are doing well, aside from the heat. Are you in the air conditioning yet? I was lucky that we had a pretty mild summer, wasn't too hot and I was still sweating constantly. Hope your US goes well and good luck with finding out the gender. I am now 351/2 wks and am ready for this to be over, I am hoping to hang on for a couple more weeks, to ensure that the babies are a good weight and lungs developed. My OB said that any time labour could start he said avg delivery for twins is 36 wks. I go for my last US tomorrow I am anxious to see what the girls weigh and hoping that they are still head down! TTYS

Hi CB, Hope the US went well. My US went well, I have some acrobats in here. My babies have totally switched places. Baby A was always on my left side since 12wks, and baby B on the right, and were both head down two weeks ago. Now Baby A is on the right head down, and B is on the left breech. They are both 6lb now so very good size. Seen my OB today and he wants me to start walking a lot to try and start labour. If they are not born by next Thurs then we are going to set up a date for induction. Stay cool and hope you are getting plenty of rest. Are you working at all? I was lucky enough to be able to stay home with my other two daughters and will be staying home with these two as well. My one little girl is only 3 so she still needs her MOM! Well talk to you soon Let me know how the US goes and what you are having!

Hi Candice, well the ultrasound went good, but we never got to see what they are yet!! Not really in a good position!!! Baby A is head down, but right down, they found it really hard to get a measurement of the head! And baby B is breech, but also laying sideways, with its bum and legs crossing over to the other side!!! They are growing good, and have good heart beats, which makes my day!!! My next ultrasound is in another 4 weeks, (21+1 weeks) Hopefully we will be able to see what they are than!!! I got so excited about it today, everyone was expecting a call from me!!! Next time! Did it hurt when your babies turned?? I heard that it does when you get that far along!!! Does that mean that you will still be able to try for a natural delivery?? Hope so!! No Im not working, one of the lucky ones too!!! Im a stay at home mum!!! Although my son does go to daycare twice a week, so he can interact with other kids, and he was too attached to me as a baby, I could never leave his sight!! But he is much better now, I can leave him with my mother for a night or two, with no problems!!! Take care, Im getting so excited for you and the delivery of your presious girls!!! Cant wait to get that far!!! Talk soon !!!

Hi CB, you were right! We delivered our girls on October 18. What a whirlwind. it only took 6 hrs from start to finish. The first born(Veronica) was 5lb 91/2 oz and baby B (Brittney) was born breech and 5lb110z. We were in the hospital for 5 days the girls had a little bit of jaundice, but we are home now and doing great. They are so precious. It is good to hear that your US went well. It won't be long now. It seems like yesterday I was learning that I was pregnant. It dragged on while I was pregnant, now they are here it seems like yesterday. They are such good babies and I am b___stfeeding them. I feed them both at the same time and it is sooooo much easier and less time consuming. Hang in there and good luck with your next US.

CONGRATULATIONS, I have been so anxious to find out, been checking the site everyday!!! Im glad that you had a good labour! And fast too!! :)) I love the names you chose, and they are both pretty good weights, hopefully mine will get to that!! There was no dramas with delivering Brittney, being breech?? It must of been good to be able to do a v____al birth!!! Im getting really excited now, cant wait untill my two bundles will be here!!! Im 20 weeks on Thursday, was saying that I was half way last week!! So how many weeks were you when you delivered??? I have my next scan next friday the 11th, thats going to be the really detailed one, and fingers crossed that we can see what we are having!!! Well once again congratulations, and take care, sure you are really busy now, but would be great to keep hearing from you whenever you get the chance to!!!

Hi Ladies. Thank-You it is wonderful having the girls here now. I loved feeling the movement of them inside of me but it is so nice to be able to hold them and kiss them. CB, good to hear that you are doing well. How have you been feeling? The heat is not getting to you or are you in the air conditioning now? I am excited for you to find out what you are having? Let me know how everything goes. We a__sumed that the girls were identical because of the misdiagnosis of the monoamniotic pregnancy at our first US but they actually send away the placenta and will be able to tell us at our 6 week check-up if the girls are actually identical or not. They look so similiar, but all babies do. Let me know how everything goes. GOOD LUCK. MICHELLE, Thank-you. How have you been doing? How far along are you now? Hang in there you are doing a great job!
