CONGRATULATIONS on your boys arrivals!!! Sorry to hear they came a little ealier than you would have liked, but it sounds like they are doing really well!! Did they give you a rough estimate on how long they will have to be in hospital for?? Take care and rest as much as you can before they come home!! :)

The boys are doing really well this morning! They are removing some of the lines that they had because they don't need them anymore. They may be able to be home by Christmas, but there are no guarantees. That's what we are praying for. I have noticed a huge increase in their awareness of their surroundings today- they look at us today and you can tell they can see you. The nurses tell us that they can recognize my voice and my smell, so that makes me feel really good. Possibly this weekend I can try nursing them and soon they may be able to move to a cosleeper together as they lose more and more iv fluids and other wires. All in all they are looking better and better every day! How are you feeling, cb? Thanks for your well wishes Mom2be!

I will be sending all my love and best wishes your way!! I am going alright, very very hot here today! We have the air-cons though! Just had a nice relaxing sleep!! Now Im waiting for everyone else to wake up! :) How are you feeling after having a c-section? And what does your son think of his two new brothers? Take care and talk soon :))

cb - December 13

Hi ladies, how is everything going with you? Just an update here!! Had another appointment yesterday, and everything is going really well, and they are growing excellent!! Twin B is a fraction smaller than Twin A, which aparently is normal anyway! Michelle does is look like you will be able to bring your boys home by christmas? I really hope so :)) Next thursday I have to go and have a glucose tollerance test (for gestational diabetes) not really looking forward to it! MY friend says you have to fast, and drink this horrible drink!! But you gotta do what you gotta do! How are you girls going candice? I can imagine how busy you must be!! Well anyway hope all is fine, and will talk againg soon :)

Unfortunately, I don't think either one of my boys will be home for Christmas, although Corbin may be home soon after- he's doing really well. Spencer is having some issues and may require surgery to figure out exactly what is going on with his stomach/intestines because he hasn't tolerated feedings. So, keep him..well, all of us in your prayers, ok? Sounds like your pregnancy is going really well cb! Don't sweat the glucose tolerance test. The drink is really sweet, but you can handle it! I had to take the test twice, the 2nd time was a 3 hour test and they had to take my blood 4 times. And, I failed that too and was on gestational diabetic diet. But, I am praying that your test will come out normal- most of them do!

Hi Ladies, Michelle Congratulations on your boys. Good for you!! I will be praying for you and your little ones and hoping you have a good holiday season! Hang in there you are doing a great job! CB good to hear you are doing well! The glucose test is not that bad. I never had to fast for the one I took! Just a sweet drink and then wait an hour and take blood! How many weeks left? The girls are doing awsome. All 4 of them. The babies are now 2 months old and had their first immunization yesterday! They are 9lb3oz and 8lb15oz now and are smiling when you talk to them! I am still b___stfeeding and everything is going well! Talk to you soon!

Hi CB. Happy Holidays! We are doing well. The girls sleep pretty good through the night anywhere from 5-7hrs. They have a fussy period at night! It is nice because they are never fussy at the same time which is a relief! One usually has a bad day or night and the next night the other one is at it! They are so wonderful and excitiing. Everyday is a challenge but at the end of the day if everyone is still alive and a smile on their face then it is worth it! I love those names. Are they any special meanings or just names you like? Good to hear that your test went well! One less thing to worry about! You are getting so close, how exciting! We have our holidays on the 25 as well! My bigger girls are so excited for Santa, and the babies well it won't be one they remember but it is their first so it will be special! Well hope everyone has great holiday season and a happy new year! Hang in there CB you are doing a great job!

I am almost 35 weeks with identical twin girls - sep. sacks but the same placenta (originally thought one sack). Found out girls at 16 weeks. Second pregnancy (daughter 3 1/2). I have only gained 1 pound (lost 11 initially), but my stomach is huge. These will be a c-section as my daughter was and they are both breech at this point. We have done extremely well considering that this was totally unexpected, I am 36, have high bp and gestational diabetes. Both babies are weighing over 5 pounds each and everything is wonderful. All the docs thought we would be on bedrest by 20 weeks - definitely hasn't happened yet - and I am still working full time. Just keep active and you will do great.

Hi ladies, hope you had a wonderfull christmas, we had a good quiet one, we went up to my mum and dads! First time since me and my partner have been together, so that was nice!!! Good to hear your girls are doing well Candice, I am 28 weeks today, getting there!!! We just liked those names, they are ones that we both can agree on! Congratulations Debbie on your twins, not long now!! How are things going with your boys Michelle? Have you got them home yet? Well not much else going on here, just wanted to pop on and say hi, and see how things are going for you all!!! Hope you all have a happy new year, take care & talk soon ****

Candice - January 1

Hi Ladies! Congratulations Debbie! Good for you, you sound like you are doing a good job carrying those girls! I have identical girls that are now 2 1/2 months! They are wonderful! It is a challenge sometimes but it is worth it! I delivered at 36 wks +2 days and my girls were 5lb11oz and 5lb 9oz. I was not on bedrest either which was good because I have a 5 and 3 year old at home as well! CB Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! We had a pretty quiet Holidays as well. My family came for Christmas dinner. The babies aren't used to a lot of people so they barley slept. They were not fussy, just wouldn't sleep. We had a wonderful Christmas, my big girls they had a wonderful time. They are old enough now that they understand and get excited. It sounds like you had a good Christmas too! You are getting closer! Not long now! You are hoping for 38 wks? Will you be able to deliver natural? Good Luck ladies TTYS

cb - January 6

Happy new year ladies, how has it started for you all? Well i hope!!! I had another scan on wednseday and all is going really good, twin A is 2lbs 15oz and twin B is 2lbs 9oz!!! My goal is 38 weeks, and hopefully natural! So far twin A has had her head down the whole time, so aslong as she stays that way I will be able to deliver natural! But the doctors really advise that I have the epidural, incase there are any complications with twin B. They want me to move close to the hospital when I am between 34 & 36 weeks (I currently live 1.5 hours away) so that is getting close, and I am getting really excited!!! Take care and talk soon :))

Candice - January 8

Hi CB! The New Year rang in well with us! And for you? How have you been feeling? A lot of discomfort. You must be getting big now!! How far along are you now? How is the heat treating you? Things are going well here! The babies are starting to get back on routine. We started sleeping them in the big crib now! They sleep together for now, and seem to do alright! I am starting to supplement them with formula hard to believe they are 12 weeks on Tues! They go for their checkup on Thurs. I wanted to feed them until 3 months but things are going good so I may aim for 6 months with supplementing as well! Are you planning on b___st feeding? Have a good night and talk to you soon!

cb - January 9

hi ladies!! it was a quiet but good new years for us!! Well i will be 30 weeks on thursday! getting there!! im getting really excited now :) Things are getting very uncomffy now, it is so hot here my ancles are swelling making my legs ache! And its getting hard to sleep, laying on my sides for too long makes me go num.. Apart from all the discomfort everything is going fine! Its raining here at the moment so its a bit cooler today :)) At my last appointment the doctor said i may might have to move to cairns when i am around 34 weeks, the good thing about that is i can relax a bit more, its good because the hospital organises accommodation for you, where i will be able to have my son with me, and my partner and my mum can come and stay on weekends! good to see that your girls are doing well candice, i hope to b___stfeed for as long as i can, but i never made enough milk for my son, so we will just have to wait and see how things go. Are they sleeping through the night? Michelle, i hope you have your boys home with you soon, hope it hasnt been to tough for you? gotta go for now, but will check back soon! take care xx

candice - January 10

Hi Ladies! MICHELLE, sound like your boys are getting stronger! That is good to hear! Did they give you an estimate of when you may take them home? How far are you from the hospital? I hope you and your babies make it home soon! CB, 30 wks, not long now! How exciting! When I got further along I was the same way couldn't lay on my sides for longer than an hour and I would go numb as well! Not too much longer now, and it is all worth it when you get to see and hold those babies! All the hard work is totally worth it! I had to move the babies to their crib because their ba__sinet is too small for both of them and they are so active. They have their nights when they sleep real well it is like a pattern they will sleep well for 2 or 3 days and then one night they will be up half the night! Don't know if it is they are sleeping too much during the day! On a good night they go to bed about 10 or 11 and are up between 6-7 so they are getting the hang of it! But then the next night it might be 1 or 2 and then are up about 6 or 7. I started giving them a bottle at night and then top them off from my b___st! The nurse here said that they like to drink at night because your milk changes and at night it is fattier and sweeter and they really like the taste of it! I never knew that and I have two other kids! Learn something new everyday I guess! CB you are doing a wonderful job with those little babies you only have to hang on for a few more months you can do it!! GOOD LUCK! TTYS Candice

candice - January 15

Hi Ladies! Hope everyone is doing well!My girls went for their 3 month checkup and are doing great! Veronica is 10lb 6 oz and Brittney is 10lb 4 oz. Brittney is also 1" longer. When they were first born there were a few things that could tell them apart, but as they grow and get chubbier it is getting harder and harder everyday! Brittney's face is a little thinner that is what I look at but sometimes if they are not side by side I have confused them, only for a second but it has happened! My oldest daughter thinks it is funny to switch their outfits when people are coming and try to trick them! It is pretty amazing identical twins. Imagine your whole life with a best friend that looks exactly like you! Pretty cool if you ask me! We are all very blessed to have two little someones in our lives! Well hang in their ladies and Keep in touch!
