Hi. I am currently 6 months pregnant with twins, and seem to be in the process of loosing my mucus plug. I know this does not mean labor is coming immediatley, but isnt this way too early to be loosing it? I am concerned because I went into premature labor at 7 months with my first baby. Anyone know of any problems with the mucus plug coming too early?

I have the same problem! I went into premature labor with my first child at 32 weeks. I am now 26 weeks pregnant and am losing my mucus plug. I have lost two substantial amounts and have been seen in the hospital. I was told that there was nothing to do to stop it and just to watch for future problems. Good luck to you!

I can understand because I am loosing mine at only 17 weeks and am so scared but the doctors said that I dont have much to worry about as long as my cervix stays closed so good luck.

I am also pregnant with twins and lost my plug at 25 weeks. My dr. checked me and said that my cervix is still long and closed and just to take it easy for the duration of the pregnancy. Not to stay on my feet for more than 2 hours at a time.

This is my first pregnancy and i am currently thirty weeks pregnant. I've been going through the process of losing my mucus plug and I am sooo terrified! I've been reading so many blogs saying it means pre-term labor and to be careful. I contacted my doctor and he pretty much said unless I'm having contractions, or my water breaks, or unless I'm bleeding, everything should be going accordingly. So dont worry mommies, every pregnancy is different.
