kzarts - I have not heard about any problems about Wild Yam suppliments. I would check with your doctor fist as they would know what should not be taken. If you do a search on google looking up safe herbs for pregnancy there should be some information about what you should not be taking. From what I can remember there was nothing saying that Wild Yam suppliments are unhealthy or bad for pregnancy. Good Luck! Mel

Hi- I've been reading the posts and have also researched increasing my chances of having twins without the use of clomid or using birth control then abruptly stopping. I'm 33 years old and my husband and I lost our first child in September at 5 months, a rare miscarriage - thornoplasic dysplasia...emotionally devastated and physically tormented as I experienced full labor for 4 days with no epidural-bad nurses playing God . My husband is certainly alive and kicking at 15 years older than me but after such a loss and grief I wrestle with going through more than one more pregnancy and have desired twins since I can remember. Not in my family and certainly in my prayers but I would like to naturally increase the chances. I see an acupuncturist for my sinuses and that increases fertility on its own but I'd like to know when to begin eating more wild yams? Any advice? I have been successful in the last three months in tracking my cycle after the go ahead in December to try for a family again. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Hello Ladies, I would not recommend taking Clomid unless being monitored by a doctor. This can be dangerous and can do more harm than good. The odds only increase slightly anyway. I am currently seeing a Chinese Herbalist who is giving me natural herbs to increase fertility. Obviously they can't guarantee twins but one of my friends went this way and ended up with boy/girl twins. It is much safer than taking prescription medication without proper monitoring by a doctor. Please feel free to contact me should you want any information. I am not exactly sure what herbs I am taking, I get the herbs in a powder form from the Chinese Herbalist. These are taken in the morning and the evening and are disolved in boiling water. Not the best tasting stuff but not all that bad. He gives me 1 week of herbs, to be taking in the 1st week of your cycle to help mature your eggs, and then in the 2ns week he gives me another set of herbs that help release more than one egg. I am currently charting my cycle on fertiliyfriend dot com to learn my cycle and so that I know what day I am O. It's also very empowering knowing what's going on with my body! Hi Ladies, my faincee and myself are relly looking forward to trying to have a child after we are married this summer. I am 45 she will be 40. I had a vasectomy at 24 so I amy going to have a reversal. We really want twins so I found my way here, So from what I am reading from all of you is that redraspberry leaf tea and Chaste tree tea as well as Vitex will give us a leg up on have in TWINS WE WANT TWINS! I am also going to buy here and ovulation monitoring kit because her cycle is so out of wack. She has already been tested to make sure she is still fertile prior to my reversal. Hi, I just want to encourage you about Vitex through my own experience.... I am 35 years old and my husband is 50 years old- we decided we wanted a child together in Feb on 2007.... By the way my period has always been out of wack and unreliable.... Well Jan. 24th I started taking Vitext 250 mg xs 2 per day and Jan. 29th I got my period which was REALLY odd because I had it 18 days prior in Jan., Anyways, we used ovulation test and Feb. 6th and 7th we had intercourse(fertile days).... On Feb. 18th I took an early pregnancy test and came positive- that was ONLY 11 days after intercourse.... What's even more incredible now I'm approx. 8 weeks and I honestly think i am pregnant with twins- they do run in my family on my mothers side and fathers actually.... Can't wait to find out from doctor...

I found a great website (tryingtoconceive dot com) that is not only good for us girls but has natural supplements for our hubbies as well. (I think its refreshing to see how involved you are in your wife's fertility) It truly is a team effort. My DH just recently had a Vas Reversal in Oct and after taking the supplements the results of his Semen a___lysis were surprising, his urologist couldn't believe it. Actually i am and was just hapy that we were pregnant and the reason why I'm thinking twins is because I guess that is the explanation I came up with because this pregnancy is completely different from my other 4.... :)

I did a lot of research on this subject, not sure what all has been discussed but this is what I found. Yams are supposed to help, Vitex is known as the herbal form of clomid. I took and 1 time and concieved twins, unfortunately I lost 1 of them early on. I also read that if you increase your folic acid a mo or more before you get pg, I did that and I think it helped. GL

mnastasi I did get pg with twins while taking Vitex. Its used to regulate your cycle and also to help with PMS symptoms. It caused me to release 2 eggs. GL
