Thanks Teddyfinch...I appreciate the information. My cycles are for the most part pretty accurate but my big question is more if the Vitex is for naturally enhancing fertility or just for regulation of the cycles....??? And if anyone has any extra info about the yams please share...

SAMEHERE...I'm also sorry about your loss...and no there isn't anything harder than losing a child. I was scheduled to be induced at 39 weeks and the night before I went in the baby was moving and very active so naturally I thought everything was fine. The next day my husband and I were getting everything ready and I hadn't paid attention to the movement until we go to the hopital and it dawned on me that I hadn't felt my little Lexi, which was her name, move that day. I thought that maybe she was just getting positioned or something but when I went to labor and delivery and they were trying to hook me up to the monitors they couldn't find her heartbeat and then ultrasound tech came in to confirm that she was dead. They said she had to have died that morning around 6:00 am. I still had to have the labor induced and give natural birth to her...which was to most hurtful thing in the world. When she was born the cord was wrapped around her feet in a figure 8 about 3 times and was tied in a true knot, so that was the cause of her death. She was the most perfect baby and was almost an identical replica of my first little girl who is now 2. Here we were preparing to bring her home and instead we had to prepare a funeral for her. I think I was more in shock than anything because I made sure I done everything right and I guess that just goes to show that when you think that things like that can't happen to you, they do out of nowhere. Thankfully I have a really supporting family and everyone was there for me when I needed them most. I learned that what doesn't kill us only makes us stronger and I guess God just needed another "Angel" so that's where she rests. Fortunatly my husband and I have decided to start trying for another baby the first part of next year. I want time to heal emotionally and physically. If you don't mind me asking, what happened with you?

Try this... OK, first I have to tell you a short story. I became pregnant and had a miscarriage very early on before any u/s so we will have no way of knowing if it was singleton or multiple. Being in a state of grief, I asked my womens bible study group to pray with me for patience. (they did not know about my situation) They jokingly say "Oh no! Don't pray for patience! Everyone who prays for patience has a child because God does not give you patience, He teaches you patience." So I said back to them, "OK, put my Husband down for patience, too" I conceived twins the very next month! It's not a guarantee that you'll have twins, but it can't hurt!

SPHINX.....Thank you...Since I am a firm believer in God praying comes naturally to me so I will definately try it. And giving me twins would definately teach me patience...lol...but I'm up for anything. I just want a healthy, happy baby or babies when the time is right.

Yes, and when you submit your prayer requests be sure to include Patience for you AND your husband... lol

hey sphinx. where i go to church they don't really have a prayer request to put in, but if you could, could you ask your group to pray for me and all the other ladies. this is so hard on all of us right now and i think we could all use a little more patience to help us through this. my real name's teresa just incase you decide to ^^

Hi I recently found this thread and I'm thankful for the info on here but it doesnt state anything about doses for anything. I got the tincture form of vitex and wild yam but should I just use the regular doseage instructions on the bottles or do something different, same with the primrose etc, can anyone help? Thanks

Hey All, just found this site as well. I'm going to look into getting a little more info and then find an Herbalist for some Vitex and Wild Yam and Red Rasberry Leaf Tea and anything else I can get my hands on! I have 2 boys, ages 3 1/2 and 2. Got pregnant super easy both times but this time I'm hoping for twins...gonna see what happens. First step is having my IUD removed. Any advice for how long I should wait to start trying to concive after I begin my supplements? I'd rather not get pregnant as soon as my IUD is out before they have a chance to work and it be a single!

No, my iud is not hormonal. I have an apt mid Feb for it to be removed and when I made the apt I asked my OB's nurse how long I should wait b4 trying she said really just 1 cycle. But, ok, should I start taking the supplements and drinking the tea now and use a back up method after I get my iud out? I was thinking of using spermicide for at least 2 cycles, but what do you all think?

I think 1 cycle is good to take your supplements. There is no reason to wait longer because of the IUD. If it were hormonal then you might want to wait until you get "back to normal" but you should be fine. GL

I think 1 cycle is long enough for you to get the supplements in your body. It won't guarantee twins, though but good luck. I'm not sure if this will work either, but this is what I did. After BD, I closed my eyes and imagined eggs being fertilized by sperm. After that, I imagined what it would look like for an egg to split. I kept trying to visualize these images in my mind. I conceived an identical set and a fraternal, but only had fraternal twins because one of the identicals did not develope a heartbeat and was reabsorbed into the body. Scroll up and read my post about praying for patience also... lol... I think that works, too.
