Hello, to answer your ? I'm happy to.... I had a beautiful baby girl Taylor Jolee via c-section on Nov. 8th- 1- She was 8 lbs and 12oz... Sooo excited to have her- keep in mind though i think i just started taking VITEX so i wasn't taking it for months i get pregnant right away.... The reason why i didn't post for quite sometime is because some of the threads i would read were really out of control with people who thought or were trying to conceive twins-unfortunately especially mothers with twins- so i left- because some people were treated really rude.... lorie ann

Thanks for responding Lorie. Congratulations on your beautiful baby girl! My little girl was born via C-section and weighed 8 lbs 3.6 oz. My little boy was born 21 months later VBAC (Vaginal Birth after C-section) and weighed 9 lbs 3 oz. I'm sorry to hear that there were rude and hurtful things being said on this board. Sometimes I think people lose sight of the most important thing: children are a gift from God regardless of how many we conceive and whether it is one at a time o rmore. I will be happy with what He grants us- if we are to have any more children. More than anything, it is fun for me to research info regarding how our bodies work, especially when we take care of them and utilize the most natural course possible.. I just enjoy learning I guess. My friend says I should have been a biologist or a nurse instead of a social worker. :O) Blessings to you and your family.

I am so glad I found this board! Everyone one on this thread seems very understanding. I posted on ivillage and got some pretty rude responses.
My husband and I really want to conceive twins. We have 2 other children and my next pregnancy will be the last. I plan on taking Vitex, but don't plan on actually concieving until 2009. That will space our children out allittle more. But I thought if I started making efforts now it would increase our chance of getting blessed with twins!
Any suggestions?

mariposakms,
I usually "o" around day 19 on a 30 day cycle. I conceived triplets with an identical set. One of the identicals was miscarried and now I have fraternal twins.

Has anyone researched soy isoflavones? I read that it acts just like clomid and needs to be taken the same way. I found a twin website that said there is a thread on fertilityfriends.com of women who are trying it but I couldn't find it. I think you have to be a paid member to access all the threads there.

Fascinated by all the comments. I have been looking for answers to this question for a while now and didn't realize that there are so many others out there with the same question! I think I missed the boat though. I want a little one started ASAP and don't think I'll wait for everything to absorb!
My fascination is two-fold. My husband and I had a 'double batch' (as I refer to our twins - I don't like using that specific word too often) on our 2nd pregnancy. We are more than happy with our two boys (identical) and our older daughter. We are on our last pregnancy and I would love to have another set of two but have no idea how the first set came about! I am happily surprised that there is so much interest in having multiples as I often hear from others that they "would never want to have twins"! Interesting that this comment is usually only from moms who haven't had a double batch and are finished having babies! Good luck to everyone and thank-you for the ideas and interesting read!

I started reading this forum and find it to be very interesting. I actually am from West Africa, and grew up eating both the White yam and Ca__sava as a stable. Living in America, I still make them part of my daily diet. And when I think about it.. twins are all over my family!! my father has 3 sets of twin siblings, some of his other siblings have twins as well. On my maternal side, my grandmother had twins, and my mother miscarried with twins twice!!. Also, in school over there, there was at least one set of twins in cla__s in school!! And I never thought twice about it.. In fact, having twins among the Yoruba tribe (where I come from) is very common... its very uncommon not to have twins in your family . So I definately think that yams have something to do with it ... because they eat it every day. There are many places to get yams ... look for any carribean./African /Latin grocery store and ask for Ghana/ Nigerian yams. its very easy to cook (just boil in water and season or roast), and it taste good with sauces with meat and spices in it..

Hello ladies. I am 25-years-old. My husband is almost 30. We have been together almost 6 years and married for 2.
We have decided to start trying. I would like to have twins, triplets, quads, or more!
I have started taking a multivitamin and dairy intake. My husband has identical twin brothers, my mom's mother's sister's daughter's son WHO IS MY AGE, had identical twin boys.
My period started on 04/08/08, which means I ovulate between 04/23 and 04/29, correct?
Can I get evening primrose at Walmart? I do not know of any herbal stores in my town. Any other suggestions?
Thanks!!
