Hey ladies! I am thinking about trying to conceive twins. My husband is deployed right now, but hopefully when he returns in 6 or so months we can be ready! If my "o" are regular should I try and take Vitex? How long should I take primrose and the yams?

My husband I are trying in May. I have read quite a bit about the Vitex and wild yams in regards to conceiving twins naturally. I was wondering who had used them and had results. I am also having a difficult time finding the wild yams and vitex. How much would I need to take and how far out? Thanks so much!! Glad this forum is an open one.

hi...i am new to this site and was looking at ways of increasing my odds of natural twins. I already have 5 children and would love to experience the joy of having twins. I did clomid with my last 3 pregnancies due to very irregular cycles and obviously did not have twins, although was hopeful. We are doing gender selection this time to increase our odds for a boy, but would love love love twin boys (or whatever we're given!) So, we are using timing, opk's and epo to increase the odds for the boy and was just looking on here for any other ways to increase for twins! GL to all!

Hello I want to start a family and I was reading on the possibilities of having twins in a natural way and I learn about the yams. When read some of your comments and I realized that some of you are taking the wild yam supplement and I would like to clarify that this supplement wont increased your chance of getting pregnant coz it does not have Agida root in it. everybody out there needs to find Agida in the US you can find it by the name of Ca__sava and in latin markets like Yuca. I have been trying to see if there is a supplement but so far not for this particular one. Ill keep everybody posted but I just wanted to clarify that just because Agida is a wild root is not part of the WILD ROOD supplement.

Hi Yusra,
I tried everything, except yam. I got pregnant right away with a single.
I can't remember everything I took. Some kind of Rose herb that someone on here recommended.
Good luck

Hi, Newbie here.
I am a mother of a wonderful 22mo old boy and am hoping for multiples the next time we ttc. I'm wondering if these natural remedies will dramatically shorten the time it will take for me to get pregnant as I currently have a Mirena and am having it removed in a week. My husband is deployed for 3mos and I'd like to get my body back on a normal ovulation pattern when he gets home. I'm hoping to be pregnant before the end of 2011.
Thanks! And congrats to those in previous threads on your pregnancies!!

Folic acid, which many women take when they are pregnant to prevent birth defects, may also increase the likelihood of conceiving twins. A recent study showed that women who take folic acid before getting pregnant have a 40 percent greater chance of conceiving twins than woman who did not take folic acid.
Certain foods are very high in folate:
• Leafy vegetables such as spinach, asparagus, turnip greens
• Legumes such as dried or fresh beans, peas and lentils
• Liver and liver products also contain high amounts of folate
• baker's yeast
• fortified grain products (pasta, cereal, bread); some breakfast cereals (ready-to-eat and others) are fortified with 25% to 100% of the recommended dietary allowance (RDA) for folic acid
• sunflower seeds
Moderate amounts:
• certain fruits (orange juice, canned pineapple juice, cantaloupe, honeydew melon, grapefruit juice, banana, raspberry, grapefruit, strawberry) and vegetables (beets, corn, tomato juice, vegetable juice, broccoli, brussels sprouts, romaine lettuce, bok choy),[8] beer.[9]
Some of the nutritional tips for getting pregnant with twins include increasing your intake of dairy products and eating sweet potatoes, including the skin. These foods will make changes in your body's hormone production that may increase ovulation, resulting in a stronger likelihood of a twin pregnancy.

I am also new to the forum and am wanting twins as this is the last pregnancy for my husband and I. I have been doing alot of research and have found that folic acid 800mcg(i think thats the dose) baby asprin 81mg or less and LOTS of beef and dairy help greatly increase the chances of twins. If anyone has more info then please share
