Hi all, pettifogger, thanks for your response, I'm glad it's nit just me then as I was starting to worry thinking maybe I haven't ovulated! I'm doing all this on my own as my gp has just given me the tablets and sort of told me to get on with it, I have no monitoring. Or anything (I live in the uk). I haven't used opk's as they stress me out so mostly just guessing! Although bd'd every other day until ovulation and then every day so I'm hoping my guessing works! As for iui I've never heard of it?? I haven't been to see a specialist so this is through my doctor. As for the cramping - this is still ongoing today, my abdomen is so tender and it hurts to walk. I wasn't sure if this was normal or too much bd'ing lol (sorry tmi). Do you have any children already? How long have u been ttc? I wish u lots of luck and let's hope this is our month. Hi honey Lee, I don't know anything about iui but here's hoping your follicles mature and this is also your month as we all seem to be in our 2ww. Good luck and keep us posted! Xx

Kel, Sounds like youve certainly done enough BDing lol, so you can rest a__sured that youve done all you could do this cycle. if its meant to be, it will be. Thats the att_tude I'm trying to take. IUI is intrauterine insemination. Its when the doc takes DH's sperm and basically squirts it right into your uterus aimed right at the follicle thats ovulating. Its a great option if DHs boys are slow or if, like me, your CM is less than ideal. i will try it next cycle if I'm not preggers. You definitely need a specialist for that though -- try to get a referral! Dont waste time with a GP! (speaking from experience here!) I dont have any kids yet, I'm 28, DH is 35. We've been married 2 years and trying for 2 years. Right now I'm 8 DPO and I just had the pleasure of my first BFN of the cycle this morning! Its early though, so I still have my hopes up.

So just wonder who has had the hCG injection and what s/e you had. starting really last night i have had cramping and a pinching feeling on my right side and a little on the left. and i have been very drowsy. I hope im pregnant without the iui and i join the preggo group. And i dont care if its a boy or girl or 1,2,3,4 babies I will take anything. My b___bs are swollen and a little sensitive and im bloated. I read that depending on the amout of your hCG shot it can be out of you system at different times. I only had .5ml (500IU) so it should be out of my system saturday. I am going to test saturday i will cd17 and next thursday I will cd22 and thats 5days before my af is due.

Hi All, I was one of the very fortunate ones who was able to get pregnant on my first cycle of clomid. I believe that I conceived around the 18-20th of June. However, I miscarried on Monday. It started with my first ultrasound only showing the gestational sack, and then going back 2 weeks later and them finding the fetal pole with no heartbeat, and the baby only appearing to be 5-6 weeks when he/she should have been 9-10 weeks. It has been devastating and heartbreak for me and my husband, we have been waiting for this for so long (married almost 9 years). I know we're supposed to stay positive because that means I can get pregnant and that the clomid works for me, but nothing could prepare me for having our dreams come true with getting pregnant and then having that all being gone one day. I guess I am back on the Clomid bandwagon, but have to wait a little while before I can start on it again in order to give my body time to heal. With reading pregnancy books, we all know that this is a pretty common thing, but nothing prepared me for this. I just thought that I have waited for so long, that probably won't happen to me. :-( Well wishing you all baby dust-- I hope that we can all be happy healthy pregnant women very soon!

Hi everyone, I'm new to this forum. I'm on another one for mthfr. A gene mutation that causes blood clots and recurring pregnancy losses. I recently lost our baby at 12wks (missed abortion). After non stop bleeding for 2 1/2 months after my D&C my new dr started me on clomid. I took my first pill on the 18th of aug. And today had an ultrasound to see if any eggs were maturing. But it didn't look like any were. :( so when I get my period I'm going to be starting 100mg clomid. What days are the best to start it. 5-9 3-7?anyhelp on that? Also is robitussin or mucinex better for thinning cervical mucus? I really don't know much about this stuff. I lost my first pregnancy at 19wks. Then I had 2 healthy pregnancies. I got remarried and we started to ttc. Got pregnant pretty quick but lost the baby at 12wks bc of the clotting gene. Really hope the clomid works. Has anyone had an ultrasound not show any mature eggs but still end up ovulating in that cycle. Hope everything works out! Baby dust to everyone!!!!!

Hi everyone I am new to this site. I found it by searching for forums about people taking clomid. I was diagnosed with PCOS a few months ago. My doctor feels I have had it for a very long time. I conceived my first child too easily actually bit when we tried for our second we started having problems. After 2 yrs we finally got pregnant and I mc. I went on and had 2 more within 2 years. I then finally conceived my son and carried to term. We started trying right away ( feb 2005) and I did not conceive until oct 2007. I mc again in jan 2009 and had a tubal in nov 2009. So in march 2010 I went to a new doc and he ran me through tests and in may said I had PCOS. Started me on metformin 1500mg 1 time a day. (after he started me on provera to start a period). I was on metformin alone until this month. He proscribed me 50mg clomid and said to take it days 2-6. That seem very odd to me. I see most take it days 5-9 and some 3-7. Anyone know why he would put me on these days? I am on cd 1 today and will start clomid tomorrow. worried about the s/e and chance of having triplets or more. Twins wouldnt be too bad but I would be extremely happy with one. I know the risk of multiples with this and agreed to it anyways because I want another child so bad. Is that wrong?

Hi, My husband and I are trying to have a baby for almost 3 years already. I have pcos and my gynae has put me on clomid it's my 1st cycle and I hope it works for me...Does anybody have any advice for me just to keep my hopes up cause I'm feeling realy dispondent at the moment..

olliesmum - April 6

Hi Cravingababy, When Clomid works, it is a miracle! I have PCOS, plus a mult_tude of other 'interesting' issues, but my main problem was actually ovulating, so Clomid was really designed to help someone like me. After 3 years of trying naturally and following a stillbirth at 26 weeks, I was prescribed Clomid. I took 50mg month 1 and 2, then was upped to 100 for month 3 as my specialist did not want me on longer than 4 months due to ovarian cysts. Luckily 3rd month worked a charm and we had our beautiful little man last November. Whilst his early arrival at only 29 weeks wasn't ideal, he is now a thriving 16 month old. The early arrival had nothing to do with Clomid! Then last June we tried again. This time 50mg month 1, 100 months 2 and 3. Again, third month worked a charm. I am currently 28 weeks pregnant with our third child, another boy! I would not have been able to have children without Clomid, so in answer to your question, yes, it absolutely does work. I hoPe and pray that you are one of the lucky ones, don't give up hope, not yet. There is so many other avenues to try before you're at that stage. Xx

cravingababy - April 7

Thanks for your feedback, and congrats!!! I do hope that it works for me i'm so tired of looking for pregnancy symptoms and buying pregnancy tests praying for that 2 lines it's really tiring, I don't want to give up I really want a baby even twins are welcome,I heard that on clomid your chances of having twins are high?

My name is krissy, I am 21 and this is my 5th Ike taking clomid. My husband and I have been together for 8 years. For the past few years we did not use any type of protection. We have been wanting a child but we've had some difficulties. Were hoping the clomid will help this time;))..for the past week I have been have abdominal pains like some of you are mentioning he stabbing. I have also just been cramping as if I'll start my period I'm suppose to start on the 1st of may, I have been feeling kind of tired but it's bareable. am I reading to much into this or is it a possibility this time it worked? I know it's alot to read but thanks for taking the time to listen;).

Krissy Rivera - April 27

Hi Olliesmum, Wow! I am so happy for you! It does get frustrating trying and trying I'm hoping this time it'll work for my husband and I. The first 3 times we tried it was 50mg and the 4th time he did 100mg. I do feel different this time around andmy husband swears he has a feeling Im pregnant. I am due for my menstrual may 1st so I took a pregnancy test today 4/26 and it was neg. I know there are more likely to have false negs. Do u think I'm reading to much into this?...thanks for listening;)
