Jane- I had to same problem- My periods were irregular but I got them on monthly and I do ovulate. The doctor put me on Clomid so I can predict ovulation better. The first month, my cycle was exactly 28days. This past month I was 30 days. I must have tested 10 tens to see if I was pregnant. I called the doctor and he said that it was normal. He also increased my dose to 100 mg. It was so frustrating to be late and just have to wait. Hopefully you will get a positive test- my fingers are crossed for you.

HI everyone! I have been reading the forum for just over two mths now. I am on my second round of Clomid 50mg & getting anxious! I have read so many different thing about what days to take Clomid & what days I should O. Doctors office advised days 5-9 & 12-14 for O. Am I the only one taking it on these days? I read that taking Clomid earlier in the cycle, days 1 or 2, increases the chances of pregnancy. I am also having long cycles 30-35 days. Prior to this I was on the pill for 9 years due to severe cramping & had reg cycles. The last year or so I was on the pill 365 days & I wasn't having a cycle due to endometriosis. Is this normal on Clomid? Does anyone have any advise? I am xxx my fingers that it works this month!

Hi everyone! Well, I just ovulated a few days ago. Now I have to wait those 2 torturous weeks to find out if "it" worked. This is my 3rd month of clomid. I am praying that this is it! I'll keep you posted...Jane...what is going on with you? Did you test on day 35?

I have been on Clomid 100 mg for 4 months and still no baby. My dr said the meds are working and i am ovulating but like i said no baby. I pray that this month will be the one. The only side affect i have had on the meds is hot flashes at night, but i don't care what side affects i have as long as a baby is in the future. We have been trying for a year now, and i am starting to get the feeling i won't have on of my own this is the fisrt month on 100 mg so i can only pray that i will be pergant this month, but i will keep ever one posted. best of luck

Maria, Don't get too frustrated or give up home. After trying for 2 years, I was on Clomid for a year (with Metformin) before I concieved my first child. I am currently 14 wks. pregnant with twins after another 8 months of trying (a miscarriage in between), but I needed a much higher dose this time than with my 1st child. I was on 150 mg. along with Metforming. Good Luck!!!

Hi. I have been diagnosed with PCOS. I started 50mg of clomid last month on cycle days 5-9. I did not get pregnant even though I timed everyhing. I am now on my second cycle - 50mg days 5-9. I hope that it works this time. I have been trying about 3 years now. Can anyone with PCOS give me more information on how long it will take me to conceive. All of the information on this site has been useful. Talk to you soon.

Charity, The biggest difference that I noticed with my pregnancies (first being a singleton) is that this time with twins my pants got tight around 5 weeks! I also happened to get blood work done at 4 weeks to make sure my HcG was doubling after 48 hours (I was a little paranoid after a recent miscarriage). It did double perfectly, but was way higher than would be expected. I did my own research on average HcG ranges because these #'s didn't seem to surprise my Dr.'s at all. I didn't really get nauseaus (mostly in the evening) until about 7-8 weeks and then it went away by the end of the 12th week. I only got sick a couple of times, but with my first pregnancy I was nauseaus or sick at all. So... not huge differences between my pregnancies, but the biggest clues were the quicker loss of a waistline and higher HcG #'s. Good luck!!

Kim, For my first pregnancy, I was on Clomid with Metformin for a year before we concieved. For my second pregnancy, I was on Clomid with Metformin for 6 mo. before we concieved. That ended in a miscarriage, but the very next cycle with clomid we concieved again and are expecting twins. I found that I ovulated very late in my cyle (day 19 or 20) and I had used the Clear Plan Fertiliy Monitor. Once I gave that up and purchased the regular ovulation detecting sticks, I found that I was able to see when I ovulated a lot easier. E-bay tends to sell these for much cheaper and in bulk from med. supply companies than buying from the store. Good luck!
