Lovelle - August 30

Hi! I started clomid this month and this past week, I was expecting my period to come (but it didnt) and had a severe abdominal pain this past weekend (usually happens when Im sleeping and would wake up in the middle of the night). I couldnt take the pain anymore so my husband took me to the ER and they found 2 ovarian cycts, one of which already ruptured. Saw my gyne yesterday and she said its normal to have cycsts when you take Clomid and there's nothing we can do right now. They tested me too but it turned out negative. Has anyone of you experienced this? My husband and I are hoping to conceive too. Im just scared we might have a hard time since I have irregular period.

Lauren-my cycles have been between 33 and 35 days. I hope its good news, but still too early to tell. I have been exhausted at like 8 and then i go to bed but i have been waking up in the middle of the night and not being able to go back to sleep right away. Is this a clomid symptom? I have never had problems waking up in the middle of the night before. It is very frustrating, i never know if im having a period symptom, a clomid symptom, a pregnancy symptom or if its all in my head cause i want this so bad! Hope everything works out for all of you! Good Luck!

KT - I noticed that you are on clomid an a 33 - 35 day cycle. I thought clomid regulated your cycle to 28 days - at least that's what the doctor told me. I'm on day 28 today and feel no pg symptoms so I'm not hopeful but the cramps I did feel the day before (CD 27) have gone. I'm not sure when my regular cycle is but I thought you would definately be on a 28 day cycle and ovulate around the 12 - 16th. Let me know and good luck - I'm anxious to hear your results

Danielle-Thats what i thought! This is actually my first month on clomid. So im not sure if it's supposed to go to 28 days or what? My cycles before i started clomid were between 33-35 days. I took a pregnancy test this month on day 28 because i thought that is when i was supposed to get my period on clomid and it was negative. My doctor told me he thought i wasn't getting pregnant because of my irregular cycles and that i wasn't timing right so he told me he wanted to put me on clomid to regulate it and to help me get pregnant. But so far this month no period and pregnancy test on day 28 negative. I'm kind of confused! Someone told me that sometimes clomid can make your cycles longer. So i guess we'll see! Good Luck to you as well.

Hey girls, tested last night and it was POSITIVE!! WOOHOO! I actually went out and bought a different brand and did another one cause i didn't believe it! Thank you all for all of your support on here, you all made this much easier to get here. I am so happy and i wish the best of luck to all of you trying to conceive! I'm really happy but also really afraid. We were ttc for six months when i got pregnant the first time in July of 04 and we lost the baby in October of 04. We have been trying ever since and im finally pregnant. I hope everything works out. Pray for a healthy pregnancy for me and i'll pray for you'll. GOOD LUCK!

KT- Congratulations on your BFP!! It gives all of us hopes. I'm on my first round of Clomid (50mg) and anxiously awaiting to test in 2 weeks. What dosage of Clomid did you take?

Jackie - September 2

I am on cd 26, my cycles usually lasts 30 days, I am having low back pain and light cramping. I am guessing af is on her way, but hoping she does not arrive. This was my first month of taking clomid days 3-7, 50mg. My opk showed me ovulating on the cd 14, and my temps started out at 97.4, then continued to rise to 98.7 after ovulation, then took a dip on cd 10 to 98.1, and have since rose back up to 98.5. I thought there was a good chance I might be pregnant, so I tested on 11 dpo, but got a negative result. I was very disappoined but I guess I have to give it more time. I definately understand the frustration. I would love to hear more success stories. Also, for those who got a BFP how soon did you test to find out?

KT - September 2

RC-Thank you! I was taking 50 mg of Clomid days 5-9.Good Luck to you! Jackie-Be positive, your symptoms sound like mine. I tested on day 28 and it was negative and tested day 34 and it was positive. I also had temps of 98.5 all the way up until the day i tested positive. Good Luck Girls!

KT - Thanks for your support, I am keeping my fingers crossed that the clomid worked this month, if not, there is always next month and I am fortunate to have one child already. Congragulations on your good news! I also miscarried in February and have concerns of my own if I do get pregnant again, but know that staying positive is all I can do. I will be praying for you to have a healthy pregnancy.

Beth - September 4

Hey, Ladies! Does Clomid make your cycle longer? Back before PCOS when I had a normal cycle, I remember it being 28 days. Now on the Clomid, it is 34 or 35. Just wondering if I have changed or if the drugs alter it. Thanks!

miranda - September 4

i start clomid tomorrow days 3-7. when is the best time to take it, morning or night?

Jackie - September 4

Miranda - I started my first round of clomid days 3-7 this month and found taking it at night was the best, due to the side effects, like nausea and hot flashes. Good luck! Beth - I do not know whether or not the clomid makes your period longer, but would like to know myself since my period should be due in a few days.

Tina - September 5

I just finished my Clomid CD 3-7 on Friday and I took mine in the am with my multi-vitamin. This worked out well for me and I did not have any side effects whatsoever. No hot flashes, no mood swings, no nausea or anything. It was all smooth sailing and well I hope that is a good sign and I hope it means it will work good for me!! I responded well to Provera so I am hoping I responding well to this. I am waiting to see though!!!!!!!! HTH some.

miranda - September 5

tina, are you going to be taking estradiol and prochieve this cycle also?My dr prescribed this for me for the drying of clomid (estradiol) and then after ovulation (prochieve) for the thinning of the uterine lining also caused by clomid. it has a 100% of keeping your body right for possible pregnancy...,
