Hi blf0521, sorry about your miscarriage. I actually ovulate late on cd16 on clomid cd3-7, this cycle i started clomid on cd1 in hopes of ovulating a little earlier. Babydust ...

Hey Andrea! I am on 50 mg this is my first round of clomid, I took it cd 5-9 per my dr. I do see other people having luck on taking it earlier so I wll be curious to try if no bfp this month. Right now I am on cd 18. blf0521- I am so sorry about your loss.

I actually ovulated late as well when i took clomid days 5-9. My dr then increased it to days 3-9 and i ovulated on day 14 of my cycle (the first in months). It does help taking it either longer or increasing the dosage if no luck with how your taking it now. Thanks for the concerns. I will get thru it and hopefully have a healthy pregnancy next time. Good Luck.

Erica, Congratulations on your triplets, I hope everything goes well! Did you do anything else to increase your chances of a Multiple or were you just taking Clomid. I have read up on some sites that Folate (Folic Acid) and Calcium Tablets increase the chances as well. Also was your doctor aware that you were taking Clomid?

Zerafa05 - August 28

Twinmom2be did you take Clomid for the sole purpose of conceiving twins? How many mg did you take? Is there anything else you did to increase your chances of conceiving twins? My husband and I really want twins, I am considering Chinese Herbal Medicine to increase the chances and I was also planning on taking Folate and Calcium tablets as those are said to increase the chances as well. :-)

Wow. Zerafa05, did you completely miss that Twinmom2be's babies were born at 28 WEEKS? And are in the NICU? 28 weeks is very premature and I wonder if you realize what that can mean for a child if in light of that fact you only care about what she may have done to increase her chances of conceiving multiples. TwinMom2Be - I hope your girls are doing ok and I hope that you get to bring them home soon.

Zerafa05 - August 28

freebird, I am sorry for not realising that that was the case. As mentioned I am only new at this stuff and was generally asking advice. A healthy child is of course the first priority but twins would be a bonus. Sorry to anyone who may have been offended by my questions but I thought that this was were people were discussing the ways in which to increase the odds of having twins? Twinmom2be's I hope your babies are doing well, good luck and sorry if I have upset anyone! :-(

freebird - August 28

Zerafa, sorry if I came off a bit harsh. After you're here a while you will realize that the only people here who talk about ways to increase the chances of multiples are people who have not been through a multiple pregnancy and those who have will not encourage 'increasing the odds' because it is not an easy thing to go through for the mother or the children. If you are able to conceive naturally, don't mess with fertility drugs. It's a bad scene.

Zerafa05 - August 28

freebird, I was not planning on using Clomid to increase the chances as I am not sure I am comfortable with the thought of using a presription drug without the prescription. I know that a multiple pregnancy would not be easy but I really don't care how hard it is. I am trying to increase my chances naturally by taking Folate and Calcium tablets as well as using herbal medicines. I know that it would not be easy but people do it. There is alot of advice and very happy women here who are infact pregnant or looking at conceiving multiples. A child is a wonderful thing single or multiple! Baby dust to you all! :-)
