does anyone know if women who take clomid are more prone to this syndrome or is it mainly because these women are paying so much attention to their bodies that the twins are detected and found in the first place.

From what the studies show, conceiving through the use of ovarian stimulation drugs, such as clomid, ups the odds from 28% to 50% for VTS. It could also be because of the early and constant u/s that one receives from her DR while using clomid that VTS is discovered more often where a regular pregnancy would not normally have such an early u/s and the mother would never know she was carrying twins. Other than that, there usually are no signs of VTS so the woman is usually unaware it has occurred.
