Are you sure that you need it? Have you had your endometrial lining measured? Are your temps low? Your progesterone levels on a non-medicated cycle should be at least above 15 and about 20 on a medicated cycle by 7 days post ovulation. However, if you have history of low progesterone, or take clomid which thins out the endometrial lining, they sometimes start progesterone supplementation immediately after confirmed ovulation. Be careful not to take progesterone if you really don't need it. Talk to the doctor!! There is no solid, concrete evidence that it actually does "help" implantation with clomid cycles, but there is more evidence it aids in IVF cycles.

I have had my endometrial lining measured- it was 9 last cycle and I am on clomid. my doctor had prescribe me little pink prometrium pills to take v____ally(though she said my progesterone wasn't low) but it comes back out - so I figured the cream would work better.

On your last cycle if it was measuring at 9 after ovulation or before ovulation. (Docs like it at least above 7 before ovulation) and hope that it continues to thicken more. 9 would be a good number immediately after ovulation. But again, that was your "last" cycle. Your uterus has shed since then and clomid continues to thin it out and slow the endometrial lining growth rate. You need to know for sure whether your lining is not good right now because it could be a lot different cycle this time. I use the creame (Crinone) and it does stay in good. I began taking it a day after ovulation right in the morning...I am supposed to take it until I get a pregnancy test on the 28th, so that is 13 days.
