I am so terrified right now but trying not to stress too much. I've been going through infertility treatment due to PCOS and I am now 5 weeks pregnant. I already have an increased chance of miscarriage so that fear is there as well. My progesterone levels were at 14 after I ovulated so they put me on suppositories. When I went in to do my confirmation pregnany blood test, my progesterone was at 11.9 so we are now doing the progesterone shot in hopes of raising the levels. Tomorrow I go to the doctor to see if my levels are any higher. I am super scared. This is my first pregnancy and while I know miscarriage is pretty common...I just don't know how I would handle it. *sigh* I guess I'm just looking for reassurance. I know others must have experienced this! Who went on to have a successful pregnancy? Who didn't?
Thanks!
Christa

my progesterone levels were 9 when i found out i was pregnant and they put me on 180mg of progesterone cream per day. how much were you taking? sometimes it's not enough. but just watch for spotting, because that's a telltale sign of your levels being low.

I couldn't tell you my progesterone level at BFP or now...but I can say this. This is my first pregnancy as well, and I had been seeing a reproductive endocrinologist due to endometriosis and 1.5 years of trying. At the first sonogram (6 weeks) the yolk sac and placenta did not look healthy, so I began progesterone shots and HCG shots. Within a week, the problems had corrected themselves. I took progesterone shots daily until week 10 was over, and I will take HCG 2 times a week until the end of week 18. Progesterone shots worked for me!
