Whats To Come

I'm currently starting my junior yr in college. with a sure possibility of being prego. I'm not worried about the classes, for my desire says i want to finish, therefore i'll find a way to. My BF completly suports the whole thing. But we live in seperate areas for the time being. I guess my worries are financially. I know single moms can get alot of help from the state when they are in college. I know i'm not married yet, so i guess im still considered that way. But being BF is in the picture and fully willing to help, just has his own bills such as rent to pay first. I dont know how that weighs in. He hopes to pursue a OTR CDL job, but still needs to wait about 6 months before he can do training and all. At the time, he would technically be living with me, but probably only there a week or so out of a month. and wouldnt be having much extra until probably 6 months or so into it. As far as the OTR goes, we figure 2-3 yrs experience now, should help in getting a job where he's home more often in the long run. Just not sure how i'm going to do this, or how everything would fall in place.

Sorry, thought I was clear. Is there still financial help available being dad is still in the picture?

Since you are unmarried, there is still help available depending on the state you live in.

Do you mean financial help during or after. Where you live separatly now, you should have prob getting a__sistance now for the pregnancy. Once the baby is born, you have a couple options. If you choose not to live together, he may be ordered to pay child support, but given your finances stay the same, you should still be eligible for state help, of course this does depend on where you live. Your second choice, if you choose to live together, his income will be included. Most states decide whether or not you are eligible by, not how often he is home, but by how much money he brings home. You may still be eligible, it just depends on the income guidelines in your state. Good luck!
