Any word from Kristine? The email I sent regarding being a mom had the automatated out of work reply...was wondering if there is an alternate email address...Michele, how are things with you? Mackenzie is a little sick again...she is so good about it even when she is congested...on my flight back from New York yesterday there was a 2 month old that was almost the same size as her...and she is almost four months...have you started Alex on cereal yet?

I hope Kristine is ok. This is her edd week! Sorry to read Mackenzie is under the weather. Alex has been not feeling well either the last few days. She has had watery poop and had a low grade temp of 99.1 the other day. She is getting better -- but has been some what whiny today. As for me -- I have been having headaches every night. I think my neck is out. As for the cereal.. the pediatrician said to start giving her cereal in a spoon, but I haven't started it yet. I don't know why I don't want to... I guess I think the bond will go away if I do! Size doesn't matter! They all grow at their own pace... and you won't know how tall they'll be until they are around 2 years old. Welp, I need to take care of Alex. Talk to you tomorrow.

Funny you should mention your neck and headaches, I'm having the same thing...I think it's from how I feed and pick up Mackenzie...I went for a ma__sage last week and the ma__suse said that the side that hurt looked like it was strained...I was eating aspiran like it was going out of style...i'm trying to conciously remember to relax my shoulders to see if that helps...i'm guessing Kristine is probably in the hospital since we haven't heard from her...I hope all is well with her...I'm sort of holding back on wanting to feed the cereal too...not sure why...feels like she's growing up so quickly...are you still considering ttc in september? dh and I are talking about trying around then too..we want to wait until he has been hired with a fire department which will hopefully be by then...wouldn't it be funny if we start all over again together...lol...

Josh and I have been discussing it. Through our own friends and family we have found the children that are less than 2 years apart seem to get along with one another better... PLUS - I am 34 years old.. I don't want to wait too much longer to have another baby. The funny thing is I wanted all my children before the age of 35. Since the m/c, that pushed me back --- So even if we do TTC in September, that will put me at 35 when I deliver since my b-day is Feb. I am just scared of the Amnio test and I think it is mandatory for all pg women 35 and over. AGH! But I am not 100% sure. BUT and it is a BIG BUT -- I am not sure I will be able to work if I have 2 small ones at home and the big issue is I still need to bring home my paycheck every month -- because if I stop working we are less $24 grand a year and that is a lot of money to me at least. So it is up in the air right now... I am dead tired today. Was up until 2am. The cat kept going into Alex's crib last night and sleeping at her feet. It just made me nervous so I kept taking him out of the crib and minutes later he was right back in... so finally I closed the bedroom door and turned on the baby monitor. I don't think he'd smother her, but I don't want him to scratch her if she accidentally aggrivated him. You know how unpredictable cats can be... so I wanted to be safe than sorry. I took a picture... it is on my MySpace Photos.

hiya, I hope you got some sleep...my cats are the same way...so we keep Mackenzie's room off limits...even when we were getting her room ready we always kept the door closed...my big cat Frisco, loves to sleep up by your head and is such a snuggler...so we have to make really sure he's not in there (and sometimes he likes to hid under her crib if he sneaks in with us)...they make crib cover's of mesh that protect the baby from any cats etc jumping in...the cat wouldn't intentionally smother her, but if he's a lovable as ours it may happen by accident...its a huge warning thing they tell new parents with cats...as for money woes...I hear you, and $24,000 is alot of money to lose...that is our main issue too, is can we afford it now...my dh doesn't make much at the moment since he is also in school...and I am hoping for a raise soon, but I make less then most attorney's which my boss initially said that we all needed to sacrifice in the beginning, but we have been together over two years now...and I need to be making more...most of my friends are making about 10-15 thousand than I do...so I may have to get another job (which sucks)...and if so I would have to wait at least a year for maternity leave if they even offer it to kick in...we also joke that I don't want to get pregnant again until I lose my baby weight...and I still have 12 pounds to go...so who knows how long that will take...I guess ultimatly we will be playing it by ear....one day I want to get pregnant again soon...then the next day I'm back to we'll wait a few years...lol...

Thank you! Okay , I woke up sunday mornign around 5am with mild contractions about an hour to 2 hours apart. I lost more of the plug and called the doc. She said to come in when 5 minutes apart or if I didn't feel much movement. At 10:30 we went in to the hospital because her movements felt decreased. They hooked me up to the monitor and all looked fine. They also did a u/s and said it looked fine. What they didn't do was check for dilation!!! The doc on call said I was not in labor and sent me home at around 12:30pm. We came home and took a nap. I kept waking up with contractions and closer together. At 3:00ish, they were more intense. DH put the shower on for me and I labored in there for awhile while he timed the contractions. I just went with what my body felt and after the water got cold, I got out and paced around my dining room table several times. Then I layed on my body pillow and rocked. At 4pm, contractions were 4-7 minutes apart and we left for the hospital once again. We got there around 5:30pm. Well the doc who had sent me home was still there and when she checked me, I was 90% effaced and 8 centimeters!!! (Can you believe it?? I think I did real well at home with laboring and DH was right there for me. He is wonderful) They all started running around and said I needed to get to labor and delivery because my bag of water was bulging. We got to teh room about 7ish and the doc said my bp was elevated. I told her we wanted to walk around but she woudln't let me because of the bp. The contractions then got irregular. I used a labor chair for a couple of hours. She checked me at 9 centimeters and the head was still high. My water broke on its own shortly after but no baby was coming down. At that point, they suggested an epidural to bring my bp down and hopefully relax the baby to come down. After that didn't work, they suggested pitocin (all the things i did not want...........). I didn't want to put her at risk so I went with it. I had to saty in bed and got very nauseous from teh drugs. I had alot of pressure on my bottom and they hoped it was her moving down. At 4am, the contractions regulated and it was a long intense hour. I begged them to stop the epi because I could not feel my legs at all. At 5am they checked me and I was 10cm and the head was still high. I was exhausted and in so much pressure pain so the doc said she didn't think she was coming out v____ally. I looked at DH, I was crying and said we did all we could naturally and we agreed to do the c-section. She was born at 5:44am.

KRISTINE: How are you and Nora? I am sure you are going through a ton of diapers and exhausted and happy all at the same time! ••••• COOKIE: I haven't started the rice cereal yet, but on Saturday we went to a Thai restaurant and I gave Alex a few white rice kernals (sp) that I smashed between my fingers. She loved it! DH & I were amazed! How is Mackenzie doing with her rice cereal. Same BM with no problems? I am so worried about solids because of what the other girls say... constipation, ect. Hope all are well. Until next time.

Sorry to keep you hanging, boy the days do fly by! I am adjusting pretty well. Had the baby blues for a few days but it's subsiding. DH goes back to work later on today (:-( but he is waiting to hear from another job that will pay more and give him a consistent M-F schedule.--------------- I can't believe how many wipes and diapers we go through though. Whew! Nora is getting bigger but I think it is all length and not filling out roundly as much. The newborn sized clothes are snug at the feet but fit fine in the overall body. -----------------Mom and sister are sick with flu like symptoms so our main helpers are gone for now. My mom says she 's our new maid. lol So the girls had their first taste of solids? Boy time does go by.............. Seems like yesterday i was reading your birth stories. -----------I'd like her to stay on b___stmilk until September but at the rate she's growing, we'll see about that!
