How Long For You To Get Pregant After The Depo

It's a bit scary how mis-informed some women are about this. I agree, there is very little info given about it. According to the website of the company (and several other websites) the average amount of time from your last injection to conceiving is 10 months. Some women it's sooner, others later. How long you have been on it DOES NOT MATTER (3 months or 10 years, it's the same). Doctors advise waiting until you have resumed regular periods so that it is easier to predict the baby's due date, but I've been told there's no other reason to wait to try and conceive. I've been off it for 2 months so I'm hoping there's only a few more months to go - wanting a baby so desperately is a c___ppy feeling eh? Good luck to all :-)

I have been on depo for 5 years. My last shot was Aug2004. It is now 2008 and I am still having problems getting pregnant. I read some place that it can take a total of 31 months for Depo to get out of your system. With the help of detox pills and drinking a lot of water, you can help rid the chemicals from your body. I am going to try to detox my body, hopefullly i will be pregnant by the end of this year.

After 8 years on the shot, I got the last one in September 2006. I was pregnant by March 2007 and miscarried at 5 weeks. We waited until December 2007 to try again. While we conceived immediately, we miscarried this one at 9 weeks. While we have had no problems with conception, I can't seem to carry a child. Has anyone else had problems with miscarriages after Depo?

Hello, I was on a depo shoot for a year, in aug of 08 i was suppse to go get it, but i didnt go. For the first two months i bleed off and on, and then finally i started on birth control, im suppose to get my period actually today, but nothing yet. Im scared to death after reading all these stories that some women take up to 3 years to get pregnant. My boyfriend and I are trying to get prego thats why i went off the shoot. Throughout the whole year i was on depo i bleed EVERY SINGLE DAY, for a whole year it was ridicilous, do not ask me why i didnt go off it sooner, i dont know....i guess my reasoning was i wasnt gonna take my pill every day cuz i usually forget...well anyways i really hope everythin gets back to normal pretty soon, because we really want this baby...i hope all u ladies out there that are tryin to get prego good luck...and please stay away from depo!

ITS JUST NERVE WRECKING BC I CANT GET PREGNANT WHEN I PHYSICALLY WANT TO DUE TO THE INJECTION U KNOW??? WELL ITS BEEN 7 MONTHS NOW AND HOPEFULLY SOONER RATHER THAN LATER [[[HOPFULLY]]]

i was only on depo for three months (one shot). it was the most horrible 3 months of my life, i was allergic to it. after i got off it only took me about 4 months to get pregnant. my doctor told me to start taking prenatals to help my body prepare for pregnancy and help get rid of the remaining depo. also antibiotics help too.

i was on the depo for 3 years and came off it june the 4th 2008 my periods started last year and i still havnt got pregnant i advise every women who may be on the depo to come off it !! the depo have totally messed my periods up so its hard to calculate when im ovaluating. iv been to the doctors and they havnt done nothing about it they go on like its not harm full but i no women who have been off it for longer than i have and still are not pregnant it should be banned or doctors should give adivce about it and how it could affect you in the long run. i have been told that you should not be on the depo for longer than 4 years. i no how you are all feeling its very frustrating and it will also put strain on your relationship i been in this situation so many times but good luck to all off you and one day we will get that posative result we have been waiting for :)
