Maybe someone can help me --- I was on the pill for years, went off in June. I had irregular periods (30-45 day cycles) from June til Oct. Got my period in Oct, then about 28-30 days later, got it in Nov. So I thought I was back to normal. I have had unprotected s_x frequently with my boyfriend the entire month of Nov and also the beginning of Dec. I expected my period to come last Mon (28 days after the last one), but it didn't. However, Frid night I went to the bathroom and wiped and had brite red, light blood on the tp. I thought it was the start of my period but haven't seen any more blood since then. I've had tender b___sts and no appet_te for over a week. Could that blood be implantation bleeding? Could I be pg? What are your thoughts?

hi guys, how long has some implantation bleeds lasted? i am now 11 weeks late on period (ongoing problems) & on sunday with no warning wen i wiped myself there was dark brown mucus on tissue it is still going now (tuesday) but is not heavy or like a period but has turned slightly red! i have had no period pains but b___bs r sore? can ne1 help x x

This implantation bleeding stuff is such a pain! I used to know that if I started bleeding it meant I wasn’t pregnant (I posted my story on October 29th if you want to read it). Unfortunately I wasn’t pregnant that time. :( DA your period may still not be completely normal yet, so it is hard to say if it a period or implantation bleeding. The only real way to tell is to take a HPT. If your period is overdue, a test should be accurate by now. Kerrylou I would also take a HPT if I were you, sore b___bs may indicate that you are far enough along to get an accurate test. Good luck to you both, and please let us know the results.

i'd like some advice....my hubby & I have recently ttc around 02/12 during ovulation (we had + LH). My usually predictable cycle was 4 days late and instead of heavy bleeding for first 2 days it was light & a browny pinky colour; i only really needed to use panty liners throughout. bc of this we tested early (-) which we were expecting sort of though i have been nauseus, vomiting, bloated and the odd cramps.......vomiting subsided yesterday (fingers crossed it holds out). we have tested 3 times since (-) each time. i am late this month with ovulation, i know bc i can normally feel it coming on, and am too scared to re-test for fear of another (-)!!! i dont know whats happening to my body at the moment.....can the symptoms i've described be psychological?? if anyone can advise i would be sooooooo greatful...thanx

Hi girls... a friend of mine had spotting which appeared like a really short few hour period... that turned out to be impantation bleeding.. then im in the other boat, had spotting about a week after ovulating.. still no period and all negative pregnancy tests... so who knows! have been told spotting can mean a range of things, even unknown cysts bursting..

I'm just as confused as everyone else, I can't remember having any bleeding with my dd, just serious flu like symptoms. Have the same symptoms now, can only remember my bb being this sore, and being this tired during my last pg (5.5 yrs ago) My hubby (not my ds biological dad) & I have been trying for 16 months, docs say we should be pg, been on CLonid 2 past cycles, but not this month..... Anyways, had a dream last night that I got my 2 lines and then the wind blew them away. Got up and tested, bfn. Slight spotting, brownish, only when I wipe, I'm 12dpo, should get af anytime in next 2 days. Yesterday serious dull cramping, not like af cramps, but no spotting til this morning, super light & brown, hoping and praying it's implantation, I don't think I can do this anymore, I need to refocus my life and get back to being a great mom to my ds, not just a good mom with too much on her mind. Stressing out my dh, he really wants it, but doesn't like seeing me this unhappy.... Good luck to all!!!!!! Hopefully we'll all have bfps in a couple of days!!!!

I'm completely confused as well...me and my bf have been ttc for 3 months. I am due for AF on 01/15. I started spotting (i.e., light flow, not even enough for a pantyliner, so light I can sleep through the night without anything coming out) on Sunday 01/07. I still have the same...it hasn't gotten any lighter and it hasn't gotten any heavier. It is a light reddish/pink and as I said, it's only there when I wipe. I took a HPT this morning and it was Negative but if I'm not due for my AF until the 15th I'd a__sume it could still be too early to test. Aghhhh!!! The wait is absolutely horrible. But I'm forever hopeful that I'm one of the odd ones that is having implantation bleeding that is lasting just slightly longer than normal.

Well, 5 days of spotting (never touched my undies) and it has completely stopped now. AF due on 1/15. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this is my month :o)

JerzyGirlatHrt What was the outcome? I really wish more people would come back and give confirmation; it would make this a more useful forum. As for me, I am back at it this month as well (See my story October 29th 2006). My current story is: I had my last regular AF on Dec. 22nd, I ovulated on the 4th of January and then started to bleed on the 14th, bright red, but only when I wiped. I figured I had started my AF early so I used a tampon, but when I removed it hours later it was still dry with only a spot of blood. I had about the same for a total of 2.5 days, and than nothing. Definitely not anything like my usual AF, but also not the same as my last pregnancy where I had bleeding for over a week, and was absolutely sure it was my AF. I took an hpt yesterday, and I thought I could see an extremely faint line, but I also thought it might be wishful thinking, so I took another one today, and there was actually a faint pink line, so I am hoping that it is really +. I will keep you posted.

Still nothing from me. Every HPT I've taken has come back negative. I'm now 4 days late. I went in yesterday for a blood test so I should have the results back tomorrow. The wait is killing me but the fact that I haven't gotten my period is really bugging me.

JerzyGirlatHrt A two day wait for the results from a blood test is just cruel. The last time I got one, they called with the results the same day. Good luck!

So here is my update for anyone interested. This morning I took another one of the same hpt test strips that I had used the other day, and it was still about the same (very light pink). So I decided to go out and get a First Response hpt because they are supposed to detect the smallest amount of HCG so I figure I could get a more accurate result. I couldn’t wait so I took it as soon as I got home, which was mid afternoon, and it was definitely +. :-) For anyone who has not read my original post; This is my fourth pregnancy, and for the record, first two without implantation bleeding, and last two with implantation bleeding.

Okay, I have a question too. Had my last period December 5th. Had intercourse December 29th without protection. Period never never came on the fifth, then now last night after getting out of the shower I experience after peeing and wiping, blood, semi dark pinkish red. Right now Im ill and coughing real bad with bronchitis so I keep peeing my undies, so I put a pad on anyway, this morning its really light pink on the toilet paper when I wipe but last night, coughed so hard I peed a bit and blood got on the pad in a thin line. Took a pregnancy test a week ago, came out negative, Im wondering if I tested to early? What day from now do you guys recommend testing again? Does it sound like implantation bleeding? I SO want to think it is! Please help!

To Daisy_Adair, I hate to be the barer of disappointing news, but with the presented scenario it is very unlikely that you are pregnant. The first problem is that if your last period was on the 5th of Dec. you were not likely still fertile on the 29th. Most women ovulate about 2 weeks before their period is due. The second problem is that if by some chance you were pregnant the test should have detected it. Most hpts should be able to detect pregnancy more than a week after a period is due. Diet and stress can also cause you to have irregular periods. If you are TTC you might want to start a fertility chart, and use ovulation tests to find out what time of the month you are actually fertile. There are also sites that help you track your fertility. Well, my blood test was negative. :o( I don't get it. My AF is now 5 days late. I'm not stressing...and I know about stress. My ex was in Iraq on two separate tours and even on the occasions where I came close to a nervous breakdown, my period was NEVER late...if anything, it came early. I'm just lost at what is going on!
