We are Shannon and David we live in GA. We\'ve been married for 10 years in May and together 12. We are a loving fun couple who are simply looking to enrich our lives and that of a special childs. We have fought infertility for years now but have decided the fates are pushing us in another direction. We never went on to IVF or invasive treatments as soon as it was diagnosed we immediately knew adoption was our destiny. I have two younger cousins who were adopted and know how special and fulfilling adoption can be. Both birthmothers are still a part of their lives and the girls were actually both bridesmaids in the younger girls birthmother\'s wedding. We are both college educated and David was in the Marine Corps for many years but now works for the DoD. I have my bachelors in Psychology and was working as a Substance Abuse counselor but has decided to continue on for her Masters in Social Work. Since our path into adoption has begun I\'ve been considering making it my lifes work and will be focusing on family and adoption counseling/ placement.
