I have always wanted to co-raise a baby. I have 2 boys of my own 12/23, my oldest attends UofH in Houston TX and my 12 year old was just awarded a scholarship for his 1st 2 years tuition and books paid for at our community college. When I say co-raise I mean giving the birth mother an opportunity to drop the baby off, feel good about doing so knowing that she can come back anytime like an extended sleepover. Or if she chooses to not come back that it is ok and she should be proud for choosing what is right not only for the baby but for herself as well. I am 38 and can't have any more children but I have had this urge, this longing to nuture and raise another child. I live in Michigan now moved here from Houston TX. Why? Because I wanted my 12 year old to finish growing up in a smaller and slower paced city. I was ready also :-) If you or if you know of someone that would consider this please consider me.
