What does everyone think the best age to get pregnant is? Also how long should you wait after you get married? How much money should be saved? Do we have to wait until we buy a house? When should we start a college fund? I just want to get everyones opinion.

I think that best age to get pregnant is between 20-30 years old. My mother-in-law always says that she thinks that being married for 2 years is good. We have been married for 16 months and I don't think that we will be emotionally ready to have a child at 2 years. I think that you should own your own house first... huge financial decision, but apartments are fine, make sure you have a great credit rating before buying a house, you can look into forclosed home they are really cheap. I do think about $5,000-$10,000 should be saved up if thinking about a planned pregnancy... but if you have a lot of friends and family you know that they are going to send gifts and money... so probably you wouldn't need even a fourth of that. Also make sure that you have good health insurance... one that pays for the maternity coverage, b/c on mine you have to add it after a year of being covered or right at the beginning of signing up. I think that you should start a college fund after baby is born, this way you know the right name to put it in. I hope that everything that I have said helps. Good Luck to you!

best age 19 to 28 ... one year after marriage ... money saved not necessary but at least an income of any kind ... owning a home is a benefit but not necessary and not always something people can qualify for ... college fund just needs to be worked on slowly and whereever extra money is available because inflation depreciates them so much that unless you are dumping large sums of many in they can only help so much .

even though physically I believe age 19 to 28 is best ....biblically speaking at 99 years of age Abraham thought it was some kind of joke when God opened Sarahs womb . Piers and sitters more or less raised the children the husband worked in the city and the wife and slaves took care of the household . Children were sent away from home at age 13 (roughly puberty) (Bar/Batmitzva) anyway as not to keep going on and on the moral of my story is that I really think you are all to young especially those who think in their 30s and 40s its appropriate ... face it even at 50 you are far too immature and should at least wait until you are a qualified wise elder . LOL
