mine eats 4-6 oz every 2-3 hours, its normal. its hard to judge how much your baby was getting since she was on the b___st, so that may be why it seems like a lot to you.

If she's hungry, let her eat.

I agree with the others. 4 to 5 oz every 3 hours is normal for a 9 week old. Like 'Hi' said, "if she's hungry, let her eat."

I agree completely with the 3 people who responded. My son was eating 5 to 6 oz of breasmilk in a bottle at 3 weeks. I realize that is alot for that age, but even then, I wasn't shocked or anything.... If she is eating her fingers, she is still hungry.

BREATS PUMP: youre dry.. dont try it. it will hurt like hell... i learned....lol
BABY FORMULA: feed every 2 hours....
5 ounces... each time..... 4 OUNCES ISNT THAT MUCH for every 3 hours....
BUT..... you are using isomil.... WITH soy...
i used that and found out my twins are lactos intolerant AND needed more iron..... TRY GOOD START with iron.... its the powder formula....

most formulas are fortified with iron now. goodstart by nestle is the worst formula, it is sooo weak and processed poorly. here is an article - F.D.A. Recalls of Baby Formula
What? Baby Formula has been recalled? In fact, between 1982 and 1994 alone, there were 22 significant recalls of infant formula in the United States due to health and safety problems. Seven of these recalls were cla__sified by the FDA as "Cla__s I" or potentially life threatening.
And the problem doens't stop there. In the following we detail 9 recent recalls of formula. Recalls were made for all the well known companies, Nestle (Carnation), Abbott, Mead Johnson, Wyeth, Nutricia and more. Products were recalled for such things as contamination by Salmonella, Klebsiella Pneumoniae and bits of gla__s.
Some of the recalls were huge, the recall of jarred infant formala by Mead-Johnson contaminated with bits of gla__s covered more than 102,000 jars. Recalls noted below were made for such well known products as Alsoy, GoodStart, Isomil, Nutramigen and Soylac.
Hard to believe? Want to check out future recalls? You can get the information from where we got it: the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Their site for recalls is:
