What is the best birth control to go on while you are br___t feeding? We hate condoms, anyone used a diaphragm? How did it work out for you? I am due in a week and want to work this out asap b/c I am not ready to get pregnant again so soon!

I'm on ortho tricyclen; but it's not generally recommended, because it can reduce your milk supply.

I am on the mini pill called micronor, it is recomended for b___stfeeding, it has to be taken at the same time everyday or it might not be as effective, they say once I stop b___stfeeding I must come in and get a different form of birthcontrol.

I'm also on the mini pill because I could not get pregnant again right away. I debated on getting an IUD but I read that one very rare side effect is decreased chance of getting pregnant again. It's a very low risk but I'll wait until I have my second child because I'm 33 and don't want to have trouble getting pregnant the next time. Your ob/gyn will go over your choices at your 6 week check up. You're not supposed to have s_x until after then anyway. Some people do but I can't see why they would want to.

C - one reason women would want to have s_x sooner is if they had a C-section.
