Breastfeeding And Pain Meds

I just found out I will be having a repeat C-section. I was wondering if i can take pain medication and br___tfeed safely?

Is this a repeat recently or a repeat b/c your pregnant again? You should be fine to take pain meds as long as you haven't been taking them recently. My dr gave me percodan & ibuprofen for my pain and she said that I could take them upto two weeks if I needed to. My dr also said that not a lot of the meds will pa__s through your b___st milk.

I had a c-section 3 weeks ago and according to my Dr and pharmacist the meds I was on (keflex, percocet, and ibuprofin 800 mg) were all safe for b___stfeeding moms. I only used the pain meds for 1 week- you will do fine.
