Breastfeeding On The Pill

I am br___tfeeding my son but since i started the pill (cerazette),all my milk almost disappeared.I was forced to give him formula.Now he's on formula and br___t if theres milk.Could this be be caused by using the pill and should i come off it.

Are you taking the pill for b___stfeeding (progesterone only?) My doc is offering that to me but I am afraid it will kill my milk supply. Let us know.

I'm on ortho-tricyclen, and still have plenty of milk. Stop taking the pill for a few days, and have your baby nurse before offering the bottle; it should restimulate your supply.

the mini pill progesterone only will not affect your milk, I am on that, my daughter is now 4 months old.

Yes. I got on the pill with express directions from my doctor that if my milk went down to stop taking it immediately and to come in to get a shot to increase milk production. I would stop taking the pill and call your dr today. Mine went down quite a bit, but I was overabundant, so it worked out for me. Don't risk it, call right away!

the same thing happened to me. I took it for a month but i stopped after i found out about this. thankfully my milk is fine.it just makes me mad that my doctor didn't warn me about this.she knows i'm b___stfeeding.anyways good luck with the milk.

I am on the mini pill micronor-errin proges only. I dont have an oversupply of milk just enough for my lil guy and it has not affected my supply.
