New Vs Used Breast Pump

I think I've decided on which pump I would like to get-of course it's the most expensive. I've looked on Ebay and there are several used pumps available. I'm a little freaked out about purchasing something like this "used". I've been burned by an Ebay purchase before, fortunately it wasn't a very expensive item or one I couldn't live without. But this will be!! What do you think????

My dr said never to use a used pump. that bacteria can get into the motor of the pump and even though you think it is clean/steralized. you will not be 100% sure its safe to use. I didn't think it was a chance I was willing to take. The only pump that is multi user friendly is the ameda purley yours. Only .....You MUST buy your own collection kit. I hope this info is helpful. also check out www.qualitymedicalsupplies.com I bought my pump from there---I'ts the cheepest compaired to all other websites + free shipping and I got mine in 2 days. I only paid $129.00 thought it is much safer than getting a "used"

I got my Medela Pump In Style used for $79 and it's in really good shape. How can bacteria get in the motor? I got my own collection kit from the hospital pump I rented the first month so I've been using that but the stuff that came with the pump was clean and of course I washed it all again anyway. I told my doc I got a used Pump In Style and she didn't say anything and said that I got a good deal and that it was a great pump to have. I got mine at a Children's Exchange store in our town.
