Moist wound healing is a method of wound care that maintains an isolated moist wound environment through the application of moisture-retentive salve. I use Herbal Savey. It's a non-petrolium based salve. You want to choose something that is thick and stays on, byt is ok for tha baby to eat. Just wipe off before nursing and reapply when finished. Keeping the area from drying out will make the healing process much faster. This also works on cuts and sc___pes, which are easier to keep moist since you can bandage them. Hope this is more helpful than confusing.
