Today is my 5th day of the delivery of my son. My milk came yesterday but it is not coming out. I feel my br___ts very heavy but not milk. I put the baby into sucking but i dont think he is getting anything. I try pumping too for 1 hour, but only 1 oz came from both. Any advice please .

you will start off small and eventually the milk will burst out.

what you are describing sounds completely normal...as long as your baby is putting out 5 wet diapers a day,bc he is 5 days old now, then he is getting more milk than you know :)
as for pumping....that amount increases later...sounds like you're doing just fine :)

Determination is the best. Put the baby on you as much as you can. He can and will suck the milk out. My baby is 6 weeks old, and i started out the same way. Do not give up. I do have milk now, although i can't pump a lot, my baby does suck out as much as she needs, because she has been gaining 200 gramms 3 weeks in a row. Good luck.

With my first, I swore she wasn't getting any milk, but she had returned to birth weight by the 1 week appointment! If you're really worried, take him to the dr to be weighed.

ALL babies lose weight at first. Mine didn't start gaining until she was almost 2 weeks old. Keep nursing at least that long before you switch to formula; he WILL start to gain, promise!

Sometimes if you are too engorged your baby may have difiiculty latching on properly. That happened to me when my milk came in. I also know that pumping was never successful for me, even when my milk was flowing freely to my daughter. But maybe he is getting enough. I didn't even know my milk had come in at first until my daughter spit-up a whole bunch more than I thought she had eaten. I had no idea that she had actually gotten that much, didn't feel it coming out! Good luck!!

I think you are fine. That is how I was initially and my son regained his birth weight and then some at his 10 day check-up. Now ,after 4 weeks and a frenzied growth spurt these past few days, I have more milk than I know what to do with! As your son's nutritional demands increase, so will your supply, but if you feel unsure, go have him weighed.
