I just stopped nursing my 20 month old son...Weaning him was a piece of cake.......Now I got a problem...... I can't get him to drink cows milk..... I give it to him and he refuses to drink it and pushes it away.....After he turned 1 year, I gave it to him and he didn't like it, so I continued to nurse him, I desided to stop nursing him because I found out I was pregnant again, and I needed to have a break before nursing another baby.Does anybody have any advice or ideas to get him to drink milk??

you might want to try it with soy, almond or rice milk. above all i'd recommend soy thou, because there are a lot of calcium fortified brands out there and soy also has more nutrients then rice milk. almond milk is kinda tricky because of it's distinct taste. it might be difficult to have him drink soymilk, because it looks just like regular milk... good luck!

Cow's milk is not necessary for a healthy diet; it's just what we're used to. There are plenty of other foods that will supply calcium. Yogurt, cheese, cottage cheese, calcium fortified soy milk and orange juice, broccoli, some types of canned fish, goat's milk, etc. Try some of these. Or you can try adding Ovaltine or chocolate or strawberry flavor. Good luck.
