Hi everyone I have recently weaned my son and I was wondering how long is it before you get you period after you stop nursing? It has been one whole week without any nursing at all. Thanks

I don't know for sure, check out www.lalecheleague.org they have lots of info. I do know that not having a period doesn't mean you can not get pregnant. You ovulate before the period shows up.

I stopped nursing sometime in November and I got my first period in early January. So it took me a little over a month to get my first period.
