Well well well...'bout time, Maria. CONGRATS ON THE BABY BOY...has your husband lost his mind over that, or did he want a girl? How are you with that? I think you were hoping for a boy, right? Anyhow, I have been feeling really flu-like and had some state board exams, etc. so not on here either. Where is Gucci? What did you talk to your OB about delivery-wise? Try to avoid a c-section for the first baby if you can. I didn't like mine at all. (That's going to start a fire storm, see other forums for verification...) but do NOT read the horror stories, legends get bigger with time same is true of birth stories. All of them have some truth to them and then, well, details get tweaked just a bit, some more drama, less positive stuff, you know what I mean. Hope your mini-vac was good for you and baby. Talk to you soon. Good to hear from you. Any news on Britney since we are sometimes on-topic?

My husband was elated, I was sure I was having a girl, but my son was spread wide eagle and I completely fell off the chair as soon as I saw his p___s, then she was showing me the brain and all the parts and I kept repeating my son has a p___s, I was in total shock, my husband and I wanted a boy so bad, even on the pictures that they gave us you can clearly see his little p___s, in one picture he had his hand behind his head his eyes were open and his legs were spread wide eagle, chem I cannot tell you the feeling we both felt, I band still cannot believe I fell off the dang chair, I just saw this p___s and I went to jump up to get a closer look and I fell and my husband was balling, I have shown the pictures to everyone, my husband finally told me to give our kid some dignity! He then took me on a vacation to disney, so I could shop for mickey mouse stuff for our son. Anyway he took the laptop away from me, which sucked, but anyway Britney said that she is in severe pain, then I heard that everything was all good, then I heard that kevin and her were arguing again, my gosh, I wish people would get the story straight. My doctor has not discussed with me the method of birth, but my mom told me that c-sections are extremely painful, then I hear all the time that there all good, girl I don't know what the hell to believe anymore, but you know, I thinkl that everyone has a different ordeal, not everyone's birth expierience is the same, I know if I have one I am going to feel pain, I am not going to walk in there like Britney and think of cream cheese , I heard she is also having her scar removed. To me that is stupid because I will never do that. That is the sign of motherhood and I think it is beautiful. One thing about these celebrities is that they are more worried about how they look, I understand that is there job, but they really need to stop taking credit for looking like a million dollers when the don't sit there and tell people about the personal trainer and the surgery and the million dollar diet! Some of these celebs look like plastic!! You should see the women in my mom"s women's club, everyone knows their old bags, but they insist on having all this surgery, their skin looks like leather, my momalways says less is more, now I know what she's talking about!!

Oodles of gushing congrats to you and hubby, only difference between me and Hollywood is I actually am sincere about it!!!! I have had 4 c-sections and I am rather unclear how she could have her scar removed...somehow they must leave some mark....oh, since we are discussing the fakeness of some celebrities, this new same-look skinniness going around, what are they all doing, human growth-hormone injections? I mean seriously, there are tons of real people out there that eat right and just as diligentl work out several times a week and still don't get that certain type of shrinking...what gives? I guess even just after a baby there is some lipo, tummy-tucking, dermasonic treatments and the like eh? So so happy for you, sounds like your little man will be shy just like his mama...Lol. Sure hope he gets a spark-plug personality. Well, if Britney is in pain still I guess it is her own fault, I don't know why people think c-sections avoid pain...just a different pain than v____al delivery. Maria, make sure you check out an anesthesiologist in advance, find out his/her success stories and also their c-section rate, too much epi can slow labor and some doctors freak out and cut you too soon, so I have no doubt you will do your research. good luck, will check back later. Wish I could go to DisneyLand.

My husband and I are very happy, Disney was really hot, I could not go o n any of the rides, but they have shops and stuff, I live in Florida so I am use to the heat. But being pregnant is another story! I think Britney got a rude awakening, I know I am going to go through pain and there is no wayaround it, but my son is worth it. I think Britney spears is sending young girls the wrong message, now all these girls are going to run around thinkng that they are going to look like her without the scar and her tight body back, these girls need to see reality, I have seen people that have had surgery and they spend a sick amount of money to look the way they do, then they do an interview on t.v and when asked how they keep themselves looking good they pull the I excercise bull!! My dad knows plenty of surgions and they tell him about known celebrities that go to see them and then they lie through their teeth, and to me that is wrong.

Maria - January 7

Hey chem 400, I bumped to see if anyone was on...it has been a long time, I am going into my 33 week tomorrow, I am having a boy, I cannot believe it is a boy, I thought for sure it was a girl, but my God he can move...I am due Feb. 26...oh, chem I am dying, I need to have this boy soon!!! I am huge, have a hard time breathing and sleeping, I think one child is enough!!

chem400 - January 8

Hello, Maria, I know the last weeks are the pits. As for OMG, so we strayed from the original theme, on the other forums people are talking about c-sections like they are dental appointments, so straying is a part of the process. I think Britney was in error for electing one for no reason as i had to have them, and they were no fun....but to Maria, it is good to hear from you. I will check daily to see your progress. Have you decided whether you want an epidural, natural or have they indicated you may need a section? Talk to you soon.

Shocked - January 8

Women come to this site seeking advice and stories from women who have experienced c-sections; whether elective or emergency. It stinks that we have to wade through c___p subjects like this just to find one shred of hope to questions that are plaguing our mind. Childbirth is a tough a scary subject whether a women is thinking about doing it v____ally or by c-section. As a reader and a woman who is torn between a v____al birth and a c-section due to health issues that could become a problem if I try and do things as "nature intended" for those so against c-sections. It's nice to hear honest and applicable information, not a huge debate on a pop star who probably shouldn't procreate for the good of her own baby. Please ladies, I know pregnancy is a hormonal time and your husbands are probably glad that you are venting other places other than on them, but lets keep this serious topic at heart so for those who are really looking for something to ease their anxiety, they can find it without having the judgement of others on their own body. Thank you.

uummm, to shocked, the t_tle of this forum was Britney spears, you do have the choice to skip the forum! It is amazing dawling what a little bit of common sense will do! I think the only reason why you just had to jump on a britney spears sight was to ventilate yourself...this is a public forum, maybe you should invest in learning how to read, as to chem, hey woman! I do not know what the heck happened to gucci, but oh well....my baby was in breech position and they told me I may have to if he does not change positions, they also said since I am skinny, I may have to have a c. Oh God, I really hope not...they did say I could have a chance at natural though, because he does move a lot...I do want an epidural, my cousin had that and she said the birth goes much smoother. I already went on a hospital tour, I got myself what they call the luxury suite, but they really call it the luxury room, and the baby gets to room in with you, you have your own private jacuzzi tub, there is a bed for your husband, a t.v. with a dvd and vcr, and a private nurse on call in case you want room service or help with the baby, they also have meal vouchers for your spouse, my husband was asking if they have the d__n cable espn channel...so I am like looking at him like are you crazy?!! I could have killed him, he is supposed to be all into this and he tells me that if I am going to be in labor for hours that he wants to make sure he does not miss his sports...jeez, like it's life or death or something....all these husbands are asking about safety and my husband is asking about sports!!!

chem400 - January 8

To shocked, as you may have discovered, we do not think c-sections are a joke, nor do we think birth is not a serious subject. I had 4 c-sections and hated every one of them, we discussed this prompted by Britney Spears CHOOSING one on the premise that it would be less painful...yadda yadda...she was very likely quite mistaken as evidenced by her relatively low profile of late. To Maria, I hope baby turns, but if you do have to have a c if baby boy is breech at term, do schedule it so you don't get the double whammy of both unproductive labor AND major surgery. Seriously, to Shocked, good luck, we wish all a healthy and happy birth and this was just a lighter-hearted discussion of c-sections with a bit of levity thrown in. Stay strong, Maria. School goes well, I am in the thick of the medical stuff now, well, starting it back up tomorrow anyhow. I know what you mean about husbands, ESPN....he's going to see and endurance sport like he's never seen on tv!!! Maria, have you discussed external cephalic version with your doc? It is a bit uncomfortable to say the least, but it beats a c-section if it is successful. Talk to you soon and keep me up to date!!!!

Hey woman, I don't think thy would shut this site down, I mean I am not harming anybody or threatening anyone...every 2 weeks I have to go to my doctor, I am trying to relax, but this is really making me nervous...my husband thinks I am going to end up with a c-section, he apologized for the espn c___p, he really p__sed me off...those t.v.'s are meant for women to watch so they can relax through the labor process, I guess we stay ther for the labor process, then when the baby is born, they move us to our private suite...I cannot understant why they call them suites, but oh well, I have been so irritated by everything!!!

chem400 - January 9

Hey girl! Feb. 26th? My oldest was born 2/27, second 2/21, third 8/1 4th 2/28...yep, that's right, all THREE of my boys were born in exactly one week in February. I hope you don't have a c-section, but if you do, it will probably be best for baby. Never say never, and if you can, give it your best shot! Glad baby is moving and shaking, he sounds very healthy. I am so happy for you and know how things can set a woman off in the last weeks...so much to think about, so much self-doubt, worry, thinking of labor, etc. You are going to do very well, I just know it! Homework for now, check with ya later.

maria - January 10

hey woman! like omg, 3 of your kids were born in feb., cool....thanks for your kind words....I think my bitterness is from discomfort and hormones...I hardly get any sleep...I love feeling my son move, but he is up all night, they say that 8 months it slows down, but not my bugger...he does not kick, but he squirms all night, and I get heartburn really bad at night, during my pregnancy I could stuff my face, now I fear the heartburn...I fear c-sections because I seen the show on the discovery channel or something and this girl had a c-section, and she was screaming...my mom tells me not to watch those shows, but I cannot help it...I want to prepare for the worse...I thank God my boy is healthy, but gosh, I am scared...I know I will be o.k, it is just the jitters...my mom says she feels for the docs and the nurses that are on call when I go into labor!!!
