Hi everyone. We had a great experience with our c-section aside from an infection that started in the incision on the right side - about 9 days after surgery. We had st_tches vs. staples. I am on oral antibiotics now and a nurse is coming once per day to change the dressing. It's already been 6 days since we discovered it. It's totally on one side a small portion is open. Does anyone know how long these things take to clear up? It's been challenging br___t feeding etc...although it is hurting quite a bit less than last week. Any thoughts/comments would be great..............

Redmondsky I did not get an infection but was sent home on antibiotics from the hospital. When the Dr. removed my staples and put the steristrips on there was a small part that didn't look like it was healing right. I had gauze over it and was told to change the dressing daily and clean it. I was rechecked 3 days later and then at almost 3 weeks post partum. It did heal nicely but the Dr. kept me on antibiotics the entire time to prevent infection. Mine was on the left side of my incision, ironically the same side that the epidural did not work on. Anyway you are not alone I am so glad that my Dr. put me on antibiotics before it got bad!
