I have a friend that is having a C-Section in the next couple of weeks and i was wondering if there is any "special" creams or bath products that would ease or help her pain.

Do want something for now or for after the surgery? After my cs I really enjoyed having epsom salt baths. You can also get 'milk baths' I think they come in liquid and powder. This is nice especially if she is nursing. Both of these would only be used if she is NOT allowed to dilate before her cs. Otherwise the bath products would be nice for later on after pregnancy too. Also, depending on your friends likes/dislikes my friends bought me a pedicure and mud facial that I had 3 weeks after my cs. My feet never felt so good.

I know this is not exactly what you are asking about, but the best gift I got after my c-section came from my coworkers. A few of them pitched in and have 5 nights of dinners delivered to my house from a local restaurant. It was just totally fabulous to be able to relax and recover at home, and know that my husband and I would have dinner without an effort. Five nights is obviously very generous, but maybe you can send over a night or two of dinners. Or, maybe make her a couple of dinners (less expensive this way).

I second the meals idea. Another thought is a gift certificate to a maid/house cleaning service. After my c-section, getting out of bed was hell, and I sure didn't want to worry about cooking or cleaning.

The creams and baths are nice for later down the road, but with a large incision area one must be careful what is put on or near it. The best gift you can give is like others said, YOUR TIME and physical help. Some women say they did okay mobility wise after their c's, but many women have great difficulty walking around and doing things like laundry, dishes, cooking and other household duties. It is exhausting enough after having a baby without surgery, to recover from both childbirth AND a major abdominal surgery can feel nearly impossible. Your friendship and time will be the best gift you can give her.

Yes..the best gift would be anything to help out. If you can't cook a gift certificate for a restaurant that serves take out even would be nice..
