Hi Everyone. I had gestational diabetes 4 1/2 yrs ago & my dd was born 2 weeks early by scheduled c-section, so I don't even know what labor pains feel like.......Now, I am told i HAVE to have another scheduled c-section which is okay w/ me. (Except for the spinal - that was worse than anything else I have ever known) I'm also 24 wks and looks as though I may have gb :( again. Here's my question....I have been told that your 2nd c-section is not as bad as your first. What do you think?

My 2nd and 3rd c-sections were way better than the first one... then again the first one followed a long, hard 24 hour labor and the 2nd and 3rd were scheduled, so I think that made a huge difference.

Is the pain less intense than your 1st c-sect? I heard that because they already cut into your stomach muscles the first time, then any future c-sections require less recovery time. Is this true? ********* TRIPLETS??? I hope this pregnancy you are only carrying one!! LOL!! So, both of you are on your 4th child?

Hi there, I have had 3 sections and I have deinately found that the 2nd and 3rd were easier than the first. My first was an ER, and that was harder after all the labour. My second and third were much easier and they were planned and I was feeling fine going into them. I believe thats what makes all the difference. Good luck!

I am having my second section in 48 days!!! YIPPIEE, but I am scared. I really am getting more and more scared as teh days draw nearer. I think I am scared because my 1st section was 11 years ago and I don't remember. But if the second and thrid are better then I should relax. I am most nervous about b___st feeding. I really want to do it, but am scared it will not go well. I too have GD so a VBAC delivery is not an option, although before I had the GD diagnosis I was fairly confident I was having another section. It wasn't until after I was told I had to have a section that I started wanting a vbac. Funny how that worked otu :)

Hey Becca I am currently recovering from csection #4 and I have to admit my 2nd csection was the easiest and I did recover quicker but thats just my experience. My 1st was the worst, than my 3rd, than my 4th and my easiest was the 2nd csection. the reason my 2nd scestion was better was the dr didnt cut me as long as I had been the first time and my dr said it helps with recovery and he was right. This spinal was also the best this time around.
