I think it's fairly normal...your uterus will feel crampy while it's going back to its normal size, which will take a few weeks. Also, if it wasn't a scheduled c-section, if you were in labor or if they tried to induce, your body will be sore from that. Probably your whole lower abdomen is sore from the surgery...you might have a numb area below the belly b___ton and that's why you're only feeling pain at the belly b___ton. Did you get meds for the pain? I had a prescription for a tylenol/codeine combo, and was told to take 2 ibuprofen every 6 hours. It will take you a few weeks to feel better, probably. Keep the incision as dry as possible (they told me to put a maxi pad over mine). I also found that wearing control underpants (the spandex, granny panty things you see at walmart and think, why on earth would someone wear that) helped me heal faster, because they supported my stomach muscles. Another thing, when you laugh or cough, hold a pillow over your incision. Congrats on your baby!

I am always better safe than sorry, you should call your ob and discuss your symptoms there may be an infection or simply refered pain either way-you should find out asap! I have had to c sections and never had back pain, then again I also was on pretty strong pain
