Hi everyone. I am 7 weeks pregnant and at my first prenatal last week the doctor did the internal exam and said that I shouldn't get my heart set on a va___al delivery. She said I "...don't have the world's biggest pelvis" and that I may very well end up with a c-section. Has this happened to anyone else? I am depressed, I have several friends who did not do well with theirs and I do not want one. Are these early measurements just guesses? This is my first baby. Thanks~

Hey Bailey. I measured small at my visit and I did end up with sections. However, my doctor also told me that many women have cooperative pelves that do indeed relax when the game is on. Don't worry so now, wait and see what hormones and pregnancy do for you closer to term. Keep us posted!

Don't worry for now, my sister-in-law is 4 ft. 10 in. and weighs a nothing 90 pounds. She wears kids clothes and looks like a miniature adult! They told her there was no way she could deliver and tried to schedule her for a c...well, 5 hours after arriving at the hospital in labor she delivered a 7.5 pound baby! She didn't even have a Tylenol for labor...up and about within an hour and she went home the next morning. She says her doc said her pelvis "opened up nicely" during descent. Hope this helps?

Thanks, ladies, I too, want to wait and see what happens. I am not afraid of trying labor and ending up with a c-section. I intend to give it a good try as I have known others who were told the same thing and did just fine and my c-section friends looked miserable after their c-sections. Plus I just DO NOT WANT A C.
