HI AM 15 AND I LOVE THIS FEILD OF MEDICINE I WANTED TO KNOW WHY YOU CHOOSE A C-SEACTION AND WHAT WAS IT LIKE AND IF IT WAS OPTIONAL WHY DID YOU CHOOSE IT OVER A VAGINAL BIRTH?

Sami,I have two children, the 1st was a v____al birth, problems with the pain medication not taking, making me vomit, then informing me that they would have to "cut me"on my next contraction....boy did that hurt! I felt at one stage thay I was being ripped apart.I promised myself never to go through that again,if I could not have an elected section then I would not have another baby.anyway,I got my wish, and for me,I must stress that, but for me I was happy with the decision, happy with the operation and care afterwards.

I didn't have a choice...my insurance would not have covered an elective c-section. My labor was induced at 36 weeks because of preeclampsia. They kept giving me more meds but I never had any contractions--my body just wasn't ready for it. Finally, they said I had to have a c-section. At that point it was a relief, because I was really tired of being poked and prodded. For a long time I did feel like I had missed out on something important by not having a v____al birth, but I'm over that now.

My first baby was breech, and the attempts to turn her were unsuccessful. She weighed 10 lbs at birth, so I was told that I was not a good candidate for VBAC with my 2nd baby due to baby #1's large size. It was a good thing because baby #2 weighed 9 pounds, and he came two weeks early when my water broke. (imagine how big he would have been had he stayed inside another 2 weeks!) I had a second c-section, which was a good thing because my son had almost no soft spot in his skull. The docs said he would not have come out v____ally because his head could not compress at all. Like Jbear said, sometimes I wonder what it might have been like to experience a v____al birth. But then I look at my two beautiful healthy kids, and I really don't care that they arrived via c-section.

I had an emergency c-sect and I just wished Id of had one in the first place like I chose to do with this baby due in August .I am looking forward to knowing the day and walking in calm and collected no contractions. I healed very fast but the only thing is I had this ugly flap over on belly and I have no idea if it will get fixed or what any ideas out there

My c-section experience was awful. I threw up on the OR table, lost a lot of blood, my daughter had breathing probs and I still have a lot of pain 4 weeks later. I did not enjoy it and will not do it again unless someone is in a lot of trouble. In fact, if I have to have another c-section I won't get pregnant again.
