I have had one va___al delievery and one c-section. I am wanting to get pregnant again and know that I will have to have another c-section. I am freaked out now because I keep reading all this about repeat c-sections can be REALLY risky and cause all kinds of problems and possible hysterectomy and on and on...if any of you have had two and know what the risks actually are from a doctors point of view I'd love to know.
Thanks

My dr said my first 3 weren't a problem. He did inform me of more risks however with having a 4th. I am now pregnant and will have a 4th, we still felt the 4th would be fine. This is my last. The best person to ask is your dr. as they have your file and know your specifics and can make the best judgement call. Everybodies cases are different. My first thought is 2 is fine, but like i said everyone is different and your dr. needs to decide that. Good luck.

I've had 3 c-sections. The first was an emergency c-section after 24 hours of labor and the next two were scheduled. The 2nd and 3rd were far easier recoveries with no complications... The normal pain and all, but no complications. There are real risks, no doubt about that... but serious problems are rare... the odds are in your favor of having no major complications :-)

I have just had my 4th csection and was told I was more than likely going to have to have a hysterectomy, well I didnt and Im doing just fine. No infections just some trouble with the top layer of skin healing. the reason I would have needed a hysterectomy is a weak csection scar but this last pregnancy showed a very weak front part of my uterus. i was able to carry my son to about 38 and a half weeks he is a very healthy baby and my body handled the section better than my 1st and 3rd one. I wa told not to have a 3rd and definatly not a fourth but I did and things worked out in my favour so good luck to you.

I know in Hungary they say 3 is the most you can get. If you want 4 that your risking.
