Hi, just wondering if their were any ladies having a section this summer and wanted to keep in touch. I think that we have definitely decided that a section is going to be the way to go with this one. Just seeing if anyone wanted to share questions, comments, and concerns of pregnancy etc. I am 18 weeks with boy # 2!!!

Hi! I am expecting baby #3, boy #1 in June. I will have my third c section then. My first was a breech baby so I have elected c sections since. I have had two great c section experiences, wouldn't trade it for anything!

Hi Jenn,
I am not having a c section in may or june but I did just have one this month. It wasn't as bad as I have heard or ever imagined. I was a bit sore but other than that all is ok. I had my little girl 1/12 and I am getting around just fine now and have been up and around since 1/13.

I will be delivering a baby boy by c-section in June. It will be my second c. I thought my first c was MUCH smoother that I had expected. Of course, I'm still a little nervous, but I would be nervous no matter which way I was going to deliver.--I'm just a worrier by nature. This one will be a little bit different for me though, becuase the first was not scheduled. Any advice or comments?

Hi ladies!!! Steph-I am having a section on the first of June and I too am nervous even having one prior. I hope that this one doesn't go as hectic as the first since it is planned. One thing that I am going to do to prepare is to have some meals frozen so my dh can just throw in something!! When I had my first son, we weren't expecting a section-I didnt even read up on it bc I thought that I wouldn't need one-but I swear that my husband starved and lived off of cold pizza!!! I have a friend that had offered to make a dinner for us for afterwards-but I am stocking up on ca__serole recipes!! Funny huh?? Also, I am taking some more clothes-I certainly didn't enjoy the hospital gowns too much. But that is it for now...hope all is well!!!

Jenn--thanks for the advice. Did you get your recipes online by chance? Great idea about the gowns--those hospital one's are the pits!! Especially if you are b___stfeeding. Thanks again and good luck.

Steph-yeah, I google it-just easy recipes or quick dinners or even ca__seroles. There are tons of recipe websites, I don't have a favorite yet-and the have those easy print options and then I just go on to the next...actually it has helped now too bc I have been tired and kind of slacking in the dinner department so I had to find somethings that were different and not too time consuming-and of course stuff that an 18 month old would eat!! Seems to be working well!!

Oh yeah, something that some wouldn't really think about till your out of something-I am going to go throw the house a week prior to be sure that we have everything that we'll need-like laundry det. shampoo, dish soap-It may seem silly but my husband is a general contractor a works a lot when it is warm out and I don't want to have to send him out for anything-not that I don't trust him-but he doesn't know what we use, etc. He gets confused about those (no offense) "wifely things"-and diapers! For both kids!! I certainly don't want a grocery list of things when I come home from the hospital!! Just an idea....

I too stocked up on premade frozen meals when I had #2. Some of the meals that froze well were: Lasagna, meatloaf, chicken tetrazinni, chicken and noodles, chili, potato ca__serole, king ranch ca__serole, etc. It was invaluable to me to have these in the freezer. I also make sure the house is stocked with everything especially the things I will need after the section: sanitary napkins, b___st pads, etc. I'm already looking ahead to buy Father's Day gifts early too.

Hi I'm Tina this is my 1st c-section and 1st baby so I am terrified. I am going to be scheduled for a c-section in May cause I have ovary issues they want to check out and they thought it would be safer for me and my baby to go for the planned section 4 weeks early. Feel free to email me at my regular address. puddlejumper@i2k.com

I am a bit confused, I had to have a scheduled C for my baby in Jan. and I won't go into how much I hated it and the recovery, but what I would like to ask is why are they doing it 4 weeks early? I mean that IS a premature baby, especially if it's a boy. I had an IUD that didn't prevent pregnancy and they worried about it towards the end of my pregnancy but they still wouldn't do the C until he was at least 37 weeks. I understand you have a medical condition, but my baby still had some RDS and spent a week in the NICU. I am ot trying to worry you or anything, just hoping your baby will be okay.
